We absolutely love our 2013 Ford Focus ST. Its a blast! But some things could be improved on.

We wanted a knob that felt more natural in our hand. So, we created a knob that was like more of a traditional ball knob, except that it has a lower skirt to cover some of the reverse lockout mechanism. This knob feels perfect to us!

This knob has the correct gate pattern engraved on the top, and it has our MPx engraving on the bottom skirt.

Installation couldn't be any easier! Simply unscrew the factory knob counterclockwise, and then screw on the new one clockwise until the gate is correctly aligned like factory.

What is the material of this shift knob? What is the Weight?

  The stock knob weighs 5.5 oz, and the MPx knob for the Focus ST weighs in at 5 oz. The MPx knob has more of a natural feel to it in your hand when driving compared to the stock one that tapers and is more of a triangle.

Hey. What is the shift knob made of? Does it get too hot in the summer?

  The knob is made out of aluminum. It can get warm if exposed to direct sunlight, but we have been selling aluminum knobs now since 2003 and have not had any issues with using aluminum.
