Do you have a 95-00 Neon/95-99 Eclipse with a set of big lobe cams? If so, and you need to adjust your cars idle after installing the cams, you will NOT want to adjust the idle by adjusting the throttle stop screw.

If you adjust the throttle stop screw, your car will have idle, and run really erratically due to the PCM seeing 10-15% throttle, but yet super low levels of vacuum.

So, we have designed this piece that will allow you to manually adjust the vacuum that flows through what used to be the electronic Idle Air Control motor. When you unplug your IAC wiring, you will NOT see a check engine light!

Please NOTE: This is not for cars that are relatively stock with stock cams. If you have a stock car with a bad IAC motor, just go buy another IAC motor! This is for cars that are semi race, or race built and have huge cams.

Hey guys, I bought one of these from you awhile back and finally installed it a couple of weeks ago. The MPx IAC Manual adjuster fixed a revving issue I was having in my 95 Neon DOHC. I "AM" getting an engine light and code because of using this, but the engine in running great. I do have a MOPAR Performance PCM. Got any advice?

We havent heard of anyone having a check engine light due to the manual iac adjuster. There isnt anything we can recommend to fix the check engine light.

Did you unplug the the idle control sensor and zip-tie the connector some place good? Choosing a cool place to strap to will minimize your check engine-dash lite to go off. What code did your neon give out.You know you can check these codes with out any other device but you're key.If you need more info just e-mail me on computer codes and what the definition is.

How does it not leak through the bolt threads? Do you just use a thread sealer?

    • Modern Performance

No thread sealer needed. There is a rubber o ring on the inside of the IAC, just like the factory piece which seals itself to the inside of the factory iac port.

This can be installed with any set of cams, regardless of manufacturer, or stage. The higher the cam profile though, the more likely you'll need this.

Will this work on a 96 eclipse with a 420a i have stage 2 BC cams and car stalls when coming to a stop after driving unless i fight to keep it running. Idles good when sitting or revving while sitting.

Yes, this fits the non turbo Eclipse 95-99 model. This is made for your exact scenario, however its important to note that most of these we sell are for race cars. These work on street cars, however its important to note that this is not automatically adjusting like the factory IAC, and therefore, based on different temperatures, altitudes, load, etc, this will allow your car to idle, however it may idle higher or lower than what you set it for when installing it. Its not always going to have the same idle point like a propertly functioning, self adjusting IAC would.

Does this also fit a 2G throttle body? If not do you have one that does?

Like we mention in the product description, this part fits the 1995-1999 Neons, as well as 2000 early Neons with the first gen style IAC. This will NOT work on 2001-2005 Neons. The 2000 Neon uses a first gen style IAC that is compatible with this adjuster, whereas the 01-05 has a much larger iac that is not compatible with this.
