For those of you doing a 2.4L engine swap into your 95-99 Neon, you'll need this adapter to mount the engine to the passenger side engine mount.

This engine mount allows you to use your factory unmodified engine mount, along with the 95-99 Stratus 2.4L engine mount to put any 2.4L engine into your vehicle.

For the three bolts that secure the adapter to the OEM aluminum mount, these should be torqued to 21 ft lbs.

  This adapter is to swap a 2.4 NA engine into a first gen Neon. You could use this with some custom drilling/fabbing to make a SRT4 engine work in a first gen, but we dont have a direct bolt on option at this time.

Where can I source a 95-99 Stratus Eninge mount bracket ?

  The last few we have gotten, were from sellers on Neons.org part groups on Facebook, or in the junkyard.

Can i use a 03-04 2.4L stratus mount? the look the same but i am unsure.

  The 2.4 engine out of the 2 door is a Mitsubishi motor, its not compatible. The 2.4 out of the 2000-2005 4 door stratus is a very similar motor. The aluminum bracket on the 4 door engine appears that it would work with our MPx 2.4 motor mount adapter, however its important to note that the Stratus bracket has a boss to mount an alternator on the front (whereas the 95-99 Stratus 2.4 does not), and that would interfere with any plans you might have for power steering. If you are not going to use power steering, then it might not matter at all.

  No, this will not work in a second gen because the second gen does not have a engine mount on top of the frame rail like a first gen. If you have a 00-05 Neon and want to do a 2.4 swap, you should use the PT Cruiser cast iron side bracket as its a direct swap, and works perfectly with the mount in the frame on passenger side.
