For use with the Mopar air intake system for the Dodge Dart with 2.0 and 2.4 engine, we now offer this radiator shield.

Mopar states that when you use the Mopar air intake system on the 2014, 2015, and 2016 models that you must use this shield, or lose some of the efficiency of the air conditioning system. So, if you are buying a Mopar air intake, get one of these at the same time!

Note: Mopar states this is not required for 2013 models.

Tom Gorr wrote in with this info: The reason this shield replacement is not recommended / required for the 2013 model year Dart is because FCA switched to R1234yf refrigerant AFTER the 2013 model year. 2013 Darts still used R134a refrigerant. Design / efficiency of the 2 systems is different.

    Would this part be reccomonded for any CAI instalaion, to increase the air flow to the filter?

      This does not increase flow to the filter, it increases air to the AC condenser and radiator. You can use this with any intake you wish, but it was made by Mopar for use with their intake.

      Mopar does not provide any instructions for this piece. All we can advise, is that it is near the radiator and air filter area and it appears to be mounted vertically.

    I see the note that this part will not fit model year 2013, which is what I have. If I were to install the Mopar Cold Air Intake specifically, is there another solution to retain air conditioning system efficiency? Thanks.

      Mopar states that this part is necessary on 2014-2016 Darts. Evidently the 2013's are ok, and do not need the radiator shield.
