Do you want a simple bolt on piece that will SIGNIFICANTLY improve your throttle response, and give your 2003-2010 PT Turbo/Non Turbo more horsepower? If so, read further!
This throttle body makes more power, and improves acceleration because of the larger throttle plate and throttle bore that allows more air to pass than the factory throttle body. The turbo PT Cruiser uses the same throttle body as the non turbo PT, and the size of the factory throttle body is 52mm whereas the MPx throttle body has a 62mm bore.
The MPX throttle body is made from scratch out of CNC machined aluminum, and is anodized with a special hardcoat for resistance to corrosion and oxidation.
Unit comes complete with gasket, mounting bolts, idle air control mounting screw, throttle position mounting screws.
Please note this throttle body can be bolted to your stock intake manifold, but the inside bore is larger than that of the intake manifold. In order to gain the most power and best throttle response we recommend taking off the upper manifold, and using a burr grinder to port it to match the throttle body inside bore. Doing this will flow way more air then before and make significant improvement in horsepower and throttle response. Also, due to the much larger outer diameter of the throttle body, you will need a pressure pipe that has a silicone coupler that can expand. The OEM pressure piping will not expand large enough to fit over this much larger throttle body.
This product fits all 2003-2010 PT Cruisers both turbo and non turbo. Please select whether you have the 2003-2005 Aluminum Turbo intake manifold or the 2006-2010 Plastic Turbo intake manifold/2001-2010 Plastic Non turbo intake manifold in the pull down menu before adding to cart.
