June 2022 - THESE ARE BACK IN STOCK!!

We designed this exhaust to be used on the Dart with 2.0 and 2.4 liter engines with the MPx header. It can be used on 1.4 engine Darts, however it will be very quiet, so we only recommend using this on the 2.0/2.4 Darts unless you need further sound suppression.

This Exhaust System was prototyped with the MPx Header & Downpipe, and revised several times until it had a sporty exhaust tone and just the right amount of noise suppression. We tested many different resonators and mufflers, and the end result is a fantastic looking system that does not drone on the highway, has a deep tone at idle, and a sporty (not obnoxious) tone at full throttle.

Quick video we made in car to show there is no raspy sound after installing this exhaust with headers:

If you look at other exhaust systems we offer, you'll notice this is the only one that includes two rear mufflers. In the past, we recommended that those of you purchasing other Dart exhaust systems also purchase and install two Vibrant mufflers for $180.00 + labor. In order to save you both time and money, we created this exhaust system for the best performance and sound in one easy bolt on kit!

Exhaust Features:

  • T304 Stainless Steel Piping
  • Straight through resonators & mufflers with perforated cores for no loss of performance.
  • All flanged system for less leakage compared to slip fit systems.
  • 2.25" Piping - Dyno tested to be the optimal diameter for all around performance. 2.50" Piping made slightly more top end power, but lost power over approximately 85% of the RPM curve, which is not good for street use.
  • Bolts to the downpipe off the header, and uses the factory steel hangers.
  • Comes complete with gaskets, bolts, and two new rear rubber hangers.
  • Designed to tuck into the exhaust tunnel better than most other exhausts, for better ground clearance for lowered Darts.
  • Fits great into dual tip bumper equipped Darts and the Mopar Rear Diffuser. Don't have dual tips? No problem, you can swap out the rear diffuser panel with the OEM rear panel and the two Mopar OEM rear tips, or buy the Mopar rear diffuser and the two Mopar rear tips.
  • Complete bolt on from the B pipe under the engine to the back. You'll have no check engine lights with this exhaust.

This exhaust system fits the following vehicles:

  • 2013-16 Dart 1.4L Turbo (very quiet on 1.4L Darts, unless you have no catalytic converter)
  • 2013-16 Dart 2.0L w/ MPx Header
  • 2013-16 Dart 2.4L w/ MPx Header

Please note: photos of the exhaust show a single resonator muffler on the B pipe. Around 2018 we revised this exhaust to be a little less raspy by adding a second resonator. So even though photos on this page show a single resonator on the B pipe, it will come with two straight through inline resonators.

Ask a Product Question

  • Conor Maher
Do you need the mpx header in order to install this exhaust? Or can you use this exhaust system like any other?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This exhaust with mufflers was specifically designed for use with the 2.0/2.4 MPx headers. Sure, you could use this exhaust on any Dart without headers if you wanted a quiet, and mellow sounding exhaust.

how were the gains with this catback and the header
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

We have not dyno tested this header and exhaust combination before and after, but we have tested them separately. The header gained about 11-12 horsepower at the wheels (or about 13-15 engine horsepower) , and the exhaust gained 7-8 horsepower (about 9-11 horsepower at the engine) by themselves. Together, we would expect a 18-22 hp increase at the wheels.

Without the header, would this exhaust's volume be similar to the Flowmaster system?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

The Flowmaster has one resonator. This exhaust has one resonator and two mufflers. This exhaust will be even more quiet than the Flowmaster.
  • Kevin Page
Will this cause any issues with the 2.5 catless down pipe? Will it be louder than the video bc of the catless downpipe?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

The in car video on this page is of a 2.4 non turbo engine with headers and exhaust. This will have a completely different sound than a turbo car, which has a deeper tone than a non turbo car. A 1.4 Dart without cat should actually sound good and not be too loud with this muffler exhaust.
  • Jacob
Are these the same vibrant mufflers that you sell by themselves?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

No, this exhaust is not using the Vibrant universal mufflers that we sell separately for people with Flowmaster, etc exhausts. We are using custom made mufflers that are a similar size to the Vibrant mufflers though.
  • Thomas
I have just purchased this exhaust (6/27/19) and on the mid pipe that leads to the z pipe, I have 2 resonators. But on the picture and in the description, it only states that it has one. Is adding the second resonator a new design for the exhaust?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Correct. In our desire for constant improvement, we noticed a little bit of raspiness with our first generation of this exhaust that we wanted to improve on. So, in our production, we added another resonator to help quieten it down just a tad.
