This set of coilovers, which is overkill for most daily driven cars, is really designed for anyone who wants the ultimate in control of their suspension and the ability to fine tune their suspension.

The ER coilovers are basically the exact same type as the regular coilovers (with front camber plates, triple hard coat protection finish), except that instead of having ONE knob for rebound and compression adjustment, the rebound and compression are now seperately adjustable.

This means that you can fine tune your cars suspension for:

  • Height
  • Spring pretension
  • 30 way Rebound
  • 20 way Compression

NOTE: If when you are reading this, and you don't understand any of the above terms, and all your looking for is to just slam your Neon SRT-4, please look at the basic BC Coilovers we offer. We dont mean to be harsh, but we dont want anyone buying a way advanced set of coilovers for their needs.

so i see it says that it is overkill for daily driving i would like to know why? cause i just bought my srt 4 and the guy before me just did springs and its really bouncy and i would rather have a stock ride but i want a nice clean drop nothing crazy. if not this what do you recommend cause i was also looking at at the stage 3 mopar co's as well i just need some advice.

The ER series of coilovers, which means they have the external oil reservoir is designed for racing use. Sure you could use these on the street but why not stick with the regular BR coilovers which are fine for the street and save a lot of cash?!

I am trying to find the right setup for my ride. I drive it daily in Wisconsin when it's sunny and nice. I have another vehicle for the winter. Here is my question. What setup should I use or which coilover system should I buy considering rough roads, but also I usually do track days at Road America, which has elevation changes smooth corners wide track, plus Blackhawk farms raceway which is smaller tighter corners rough narrow surface at some spots. So this is a daily driver but also race.

Nothing will be better than the ER coilovers on the track. They have inverted design for a stronger design and better cornering, as well as external oil reservoirs for lots of cornering. However, BC states the ER's need to be taken apart, cleaned and lubricated once a year whereas other standard coilovers do not. Therefore, we recommend the ER for race only usage. Perhaps you should consider a standard set of BC's if you do not want to do this maintenance.

Are these Inverted or Non-Inverted Coilovers?

The ER series stands for External Reservoir and are standard coilovers. These have extra oil reservoirs attached to the side for doing heavy duty rallyeing or off road racing, or bumpy environments and the extra reservoir has additional fluid to keep the internals of the strut cooler.
The RM are the inverted coilovers.
Both are for serious track use only.

These come with rear camber plates installed. You do not need to purchase them seperately.

What are the spring rates for these coil overs?

These are 8k front and 6k rear. That means are roughly 480 ft lbs for the front and about 360 ft lb springs for the rear.
