Do you intend to install a new blow off valve on your Neon SRT-4, Caliber SRT-4, or PT Cruiser GT? You're going to need to install this block off plate to block the factory blow off valve port. This block plate does not come with a gasket, and you will need to use red RTV sealant to seal this piece to the turbo port. Red RTV is easily found at any local auto parts store, and costs a few dollars for a large tube.

(This part is not required for Mopar Performance Blow Off Valve installation).

Hi i see it says if you are going to install a Bov. Is it bad to just block it off with out one?

  You must not use the block off plate unless you are replacing the stock surge valve.

I have a aftermarket bov on my 03 srt4 and dont think the surge valve was blocked off, i can be around 10 vacuum and hear released pressure but when im in higher boost the tone changes, this is my first srt and in all my other boosted cars i would not hear a release of pressure until i made positive boost. so i guess my question is do i need this or is it safe to run my car as is

  Its silly to have two seperate release valves on your car, ie the aftermarket one you have and the oem one. You need to block off the oem one, and this is the part you need to do the job.

Can the oem bolts be used with this block off plate, or do I need to buy longer bolts? Also, how well does red RTV work with sealing to the turbo?

  No, you can reuse your stock bolts. We've used red RTV on many cars for many years with lots of boost and have never had any leaks or problems.
