  • Note ONLY for 2001-2010 PT Cruiser 2.4 non turbo owners -this header was originally designed for the 2.0 1995-2005 Dodge Neon, however the bolt pattern on the header will still work on the NA 2.4 PT Cruiser. This header require cutting and welding of the stock exhaust?

Yes, in order to install you'll need to cut the stock exhaust after where the catalytic converter was to install the header and put on the flex piping. If you dont feel comfortable doing this any good mechanic can do this for you, or good local muffler shop.

Will the nickel-chrome plating prevent rust? I live in MA and would be buying this for my daily, so it needs to be able to withstand road salt.

Salt spray is very corrosive, and nothing short of stainless steel will last against salt spray. Chrome will help protect the steel header, but for longevity we recommend you wash your cars undercarriage and header with water often to prevent the salt from doing more damage.

will i need to install a flex pipe somewhere on my exhaust with this? or can i just stick it together with the 2.5" cat back and leave it as is?

This header has a swivel ball socket type design which allows engine movement. You can always install a flex pipe in the exhaust to allow further engine movement.
