If you own a 2013-2014 Dodge Dart with 1.4 turbo engine and want better gas mileage, and more power/torque, this air intake from Mopar will help big time!

Mopar has utilized three methods to increase your Darts performance nicely with this intake

  • Smooth bends, and inner walls provide ultra low restriction for air movement.
  • Plastic construction rejects heat better than all other materials and wont collapse like silicone pieces under vacuum.
  • Utilizes the factory lower duct that goes from the bottom of the airbox to the front bumper. This provides a flow of fresh cool outside air.

These three steps will increase your Darts performance with over 10 hp and lower intake temps compared to other intakes on the market.

This intake uses a high flow dry filter that can be easily cleaned and reused dozens of times with no problems.

Its easily installed with simple hand tools, you do not need to remove your bumper to install this. Installation instructions are provided.

For those of you living in California with the ultra restrictive CARB testing, this intake is approved for use in California by the CARB (California Air Research Board) and has a CARB number of D-265-43.

  • Fits 2013 and 2014 Darts with 1.4 liter motors. Will not fit the 2015+ Darts with 1.4's unless you install a vacuum tee to convert the two vacuum connections from the engine to the single vacuum port on this intake.
  • The Dart front end has a plastic under tray that protects the filter from water, and dirt, so you don't have to worry about water ingestion or dirt exposure.

Mopar Cold Air Intake Radiator Shield, 2014-2016 Dart

Mopar has discontinued this item!!!

For use with the Mopar air intake system for the Dodge Dart with 2.0 and 2.4 engine, we now offer this radiator shield.

Mopar states that when you use the Mopar air intake system on the 2014, 2015, and 2016 models that you must use this shield, or lose some of the efficiency of the air conditioning system. So, if you are buying a Mopar air intake, get one of these at the same time!

Note: Mopar states this is not required for 2013 models.

Tom Gorr wrote in with this info: The reason this shield replacement is not recommended / required for the 2013 model year Dart is because FCA switched to R1234yf refrigerant AFTER the 2013 model year. 2013 Darts still used R134a refrigerant. Design / efficiency of the 2 systems is different.

Does this intake come with a CARB-legal sticker? Will it pass smog with this part? From California.

This intake is not California Air Research Board (CARB) approved. This means that it will pose inspection problems for customers in California. As of 3/9/16 we don't know of any intake that are CARB approved. This is not a big deal, just switch the intake out for the factory intake for CARB inspection and then put it back afterwards.

It looks like there is a circular opening at the bottom of this new airbox. Does this connect to the existing factory intake tubing below the air box (the one with the noise dampening bellows)?

Yes, this connects to the factory lower duct that goes to the front bumper opening.

Is this a mopar upgrade to the one already in my car? or is this the stock pipe for those that need a replacement? I am looking for an upgrade and am wondering if I should choose this or the injen cold air intake. This one seems to have a bit more power than the injen and would be more optimal as it is mopar branded product, thank you, Ian g

This is an improvement over the factory airbox. The Injen will give you much more sound, and blow off valve noise, and better power gains than the Mopar airbox. The Mopar one is still a very good intake kit though.

I bought the Ramair intake as well as this item. Does it make sense to block the lower inlet of the cold air intake when using the Ramair scoop? You'll settle a bet by answering.

The ram air duct has a smaller inside diameter compared to the lower oem air duct, and therefore the lower air duct would likely flow more than the ram air duct. We would not recommend blocking it off, there is no benefit in doing that.
