Fits the MP Compass too!

Great header setup that fits the MP (2017.5+) Compass too! Definitely can feel an improvement over the factory manifold. The only downside is it does change the exhaust tone. Definitely has a screaming 4 banger sound now!

Installed the headers, lightweight pulley set, bored throttle body all on my 17' Renegade Trailhawk 2.4l. Noticeable lower end torque and power over the stock set up. Awesome products and customer service, thanks guys!

MPx Header Test fit 2019 Jeep Compass
Posted By: Alfredo Benejam

Comments:
Amazing Results!!! Everything bolted right on, NO fitment issues. Really noticeable power gains and Awesome throttle response. In my particular case I had to remove the extension for the 2nd O2 sensor bung that comes in the kit, cause I had preexisting aftermarket cat back exhaust, so the Rear O2 sensor wasn't reading right, after that everything is running great.

Long Tube headers for a 4 banger!

TL/DR: Wife loves the outcome of the install and giggles while driving her Jeep. Longform: These are essentially long tube headers. They do what is expected: more low end power, jeep gets moving a bit better, and it is louder, ohh so much louder, especially if you have an aftermarket exhaust like my wife's Renegade. The tone has mellowed out a bit after a week. Install is pretty straight forward, plan on 2-3 hours. You will need to cut off the oem exhaust, unless you want to deal with a zillion bolts and drop the cradle. Make sure to save the hanger closest to the OEM resonator. You may have to pull the entire exhaust off, but I didn't have to do that. One thing that definitely helps with installation is to put a light coat of wd40 or some light weight oil on the parts that slide together. This will make sure you can move things around and line stuff up easily. Use the mounting point by the catalytic converter as starting point for installation and line things up from there. Ohh and torque the header bolts to 25 ft-lbs. It also helps to reset the ECU so it can adjust to the new catalytic converter. First start up was a bit rough and chunky sounding, but the ecu figured things out after about 10 minutes of idling. My main reason for this mod is to provide some protection for the radiator fan. These headers allow for a LOT more space around the fragile radiator fan. I also put some exhaust wrap around the section closest to the radiator fan to further protect things. That fan is now cool to the touch after long drives, instead of uncomfortably hot. Either way, the wife approves of the sound of the jeep and how it feels when she drives it, and that is most important.
