Wilwood 6-Piston Big Brake Kit, 03-05 Neon SRT-4 / 01-10 PT Cruiser

You've increased the power of your Neon SRT-4 or PT Cruiser and now you want to improve its braking performance. Wilwood has the solution!

Wilwood has created a larger front disc brake set that will dramatically cut down on brake fade, and will shorten your cars braking distance. Plus, these brake kits just look SO good!

Wilwood's big brake kits start off with a 12 inch vented rotor, with a special hat that mates to it to make it a direct fit for your car. Then, they take their SIX piston caliper, huge vented rotors, stainless steel brake lines and their specially formulated brake pads to make your car stop better, but also look awesome ! The nice thing about these kits is that they are meant to be a complete, direct bolt on kit and are priced FAR below other big brake kits! One important fact about this brake kit, is not only does it utilize a larger four piston caliper than the OEM braking system, but the rotor and top hat weigh nearly 6-8 lbs less than the OEM rotor per CORNER. That means a difference of nearly 12-14 lbs of rotating mass, which is huge. When you can save that much weight of rotating mass, your engine will respond quicker and the car will be more fun to drive!

These big brake kits are offered with some options. First, you upgrade from the the smooth rotor and get a cross drilled and slotted rotor. These rotors will have a black coating all over when they are new. After some driving the surface that contacts the pad will turn silver but the recessed surfaces will stay black, this makes for a nice contrast! Then you may also choose to stay with the standard flat black caliper or upgrade to the glossy red! You must also purchase the Wilwood Stainless Brake Lines in order to install these kits.

Wilwood only offers a front rotor big brake kit, and because over 90% of the braking is done by the front rotors, they don't plan on offering a rear rotor kit as it wouldn't be cost effective. We recommend just doing the Wilwood front brake kit and then install some Hawk Performance pads on the rear OEM calipers. If you'd like a aftermarket styled rotor, we offer cross drilled and slotted rotors for the rear of the SRT-4, PT Cruiser.

These kits are designed to fit behind stock wheels, and wheels that have at least a 1.12 inch clearance between the wheel mounting face offset and the spokes of the wheel. This way it will clear the caliper. If it does not have this much clearance, you'll need to use spacers for adequate clearance over the caliper, or to use another set of wheels with more of an offset.
