The Sprint Booster V3 Throttle Enhancer is a plug and play module that reprograms the throttle response of your vehicle. Your 2012+ Fiat 500 or 2013-16 Dodge Dart, and 2015+ Renegade (all models, automatic or manual transmission) will immediately feel faster and accelerate more quickly.

Many vehicles have replaced the conventional throttle cable with an Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system which translates how hard you press the gas pedal into an electronic signal and then uses that signal to determine how much power to send to the wheels. This is also known as a "Drive-By-Wire" throttle system, which has the downside of delayed response and acceleration. The Sprint Booster allows you to effectively override this drive-by-wire system, and replace it with immediate acceleration whenever you need it.

The design of the Sprint Booster allows for its easy plug and play installation without the need to cut any wires, meaning it will not interfere with your vehicle's electronics or other performance modifications.

Features:

  • Works with both manual and automatic transmissions
  • 3 Acceleration Modes
  • 36 Acceleration Programs
  • Pedal lock for security- car cannot be driven when enabled!
  • Valet mode - limits throttle so your car cannot be abused!

Installation Photos:
1) On top of the gas pedal you'll notice a red quick disconnect plug. This is the factory wiring and plug for the drive by wire sensor.

Wedge a small screw driver or your fingernails in between the red cover and back connector and pull outwards, toward the back of the car. The connector should release from the sensor.

Install the Sprint Booster with the label and locking connector toward the driver side of the car.

Plug the OEM connector into the top of the Sprint Booster and push the red connector back, locking it into place.

It's that simple! No tools needed whatsoever. You'll spend more time getting comfortable under the dash then you will installing the Sprint Booster V3 Throttle Enchancer!

If my vehicle still has its factory warranty, will this void it?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

No, it will not void your warranty. The dealership will not even know its installed unless the wiring for the switch is exposed and really obvious.

Will this benefit my 2014 auto dodge dart 2.4l ??? I have a C.A.I .. I plan on purchasing your headers and throttle body . . im interested in this too but is it worth it to add HP?

    • Customer Service Rep

For anyone with a 1.4 Turbo/2.0, or 2.4 engine that wants to improve throttle response, this will help. Plus because there are so many customizations you can do to this, you can fine tune it to your liking!

How does the Sprint Booster compare to other throttle controllers? Installation and performance, how do they differ?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

All throttle controllers work the same, they plug in on top of the gas pedal sensor under the dash. The way this unit differs, is that it has a total of 3 main modes, and 36 customization modes. Also, there is a pedal lock feature to disable car and a valet mode that allows you to restrict the cars performance. No other throttle controller we have seen offers so many customizations, AND the pedal lock, AND the valet mode.

How do you customize the throttle response? I see in the pictures that there are numbers but what do the numbers mean?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

There are two programs for transmissions- either manual or automatic mode. There are three main performance modes - ie, off, sport, and race. Then, there are 9 different customizations you can make to fine tune the aggressiveness of the throttle in each mode. So, first, choose manual or automatic, then off, sport or race, then make fine adjustments until the engine responds with the way you want it to.
  • Lester Hibbs
Can you make these performance mode adjustments on the "Fly" or does the vehicle have to be in "Park" or Neutral" in order to make the choice changes for the specific mode you're wanting to use?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

You can definitely change modes on the fly to find the mode you like the most.

2014 Dart 2.4 - will this bypass the rev limit?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This has nothing to do with a rev limit. The Sprint Booster has one purpose - to modify the gas pedal's electronic voltage output that goes to the pcm. This makes your car much more fun to drive, and less "laggy". (Example): instead of having to push down the accelerator 60% to quickly pass a car on the freeway, this modifies the gas pedal signal so that you only have to push the gas pedal down 40%.

Is there an app you use to change settings or do you only Change the settings through the throttle enhancer Unit?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This device does not use a phone based app, this uses the digital controller button to change between settings.

What if my 2013 Dodge Dart 2.0L is automatic but I drive it in auto manual most of the time, so I set it to automatic or manual ?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

You set the Sprint Booster to whatever acceleration program you think is best. Your engine and transmission can handle it. Just try out the different programs until you find one you like.
