NGK Iridiums are our best selling spark plug. Why ? Well, they have excellent heat durability, put out a great spark kernel for efficient fuel combustion, eliminate stumbling, and maximize power!

Benefits of NGK Iridium IX plugs:

  • Iridium alloy has extremely high melting point, perfect for use in the turbocharged Cobalt engines.
  • Trivalent metal plating provides provides superior anti-corrosion and anti-seizing properties.

    • We offer one step colder plugs for the majority of you Cobalt owners running higher boost levels on the factory turbo. We also offer two range colder plugs for those of you with larger turbos and higher boost levels.

    These spark plugs do not come pre-gapped, and we recommend you gap the spark plug to 0.030" - 0.032". A set of colder plugs is available as well for those cars running an extreme boost / ignition setup.

      I have a set of these to install I ordered from Modern Performance. I'm running a K&N short ram intake, Injen charge pipe and MPx downpipe with cat on a 21-23psi Trifecta tune.
      I would just like to know what I should torque them at when I install them next week?

        According to the GM service manual: Install the spark plugs and tighten to 20 NM (15 ft lbs)

      What stage plug would you suggest for a full bolt on tuned, 24psi ss/tc cobalt?

        One range colder plugs will work great on a Cobalt with 22-25 psi tune.

      If I'm running 28psi do I need to run step two cooler plugs? Also what number plugs are the step two 7s or 8s?
