the title says this top end rebuild kit is for the SRT4 and 95-99 Neon 2.4 swap. Are the cams that come with it for the Neon SRT-4 or 1st gen neon?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

This listing is for 2.4 engines. If you have a 95-99 Neon with a 2.4 swap and want 2.0 cams we can substitute for you, simply place an order for this kit and call us afterwards to switch to 2.0 cams, no problem.

Hello I currently have the S256 borg Warner set up that I purchased from you guys and it's amazing. I put down 400 horsepower to the wheels and about 410 torque I have a custom DiabloSport predicator tune that has a 93 octane tune, I'll be going to be swiching to a e85 tune I have a shop that has custom tune for me I was looking to do the crane 16 with eagles rods is this a good setup for me to increase horsepower or should I do the bottom end setup first?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

We would definitely recommend building the bottom end first, as the stock rods/pistons are god only to about 430 wheel hp. So, by you beefing up the bottom end with stronger pistons and rods, you'll be able to make more power, more reliably.

Just wandering if I can stick with 750 injectors for the zeta 2.8? Also, will the stock bottom end hold up to the power of that turbo?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

The Zeta 2.8 is designed to make 400-500 hp. 750CC injectors have a ceiling of around high 300 hp, and the stock engine really cant take more than about 430 wheel hp. So, if you really want to use the Zeta 2.8 properly you need 1000 cc injectors and a built motor.

Do I have to order the retainers separate to run the stage 3 cams?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

What you MUST have to run cams, is stronger valve springs. Those come with this kit. Retainers are nice to have, but optional and not required.
  • Cody
does this kit come with new head bolts?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Head bolts are not included, so you can choose if you want oem bolts, or ARP head bolts.
  • Brady
Will I gain horsepower with this kit if I choose the stage 3 cams? If so, how much?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

If you have a big turbo, cams like the stage 3 could give you an additional 35 horsepower or more near redline.
  • Brady
Does this come with Crower cams or Brian Crower?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

      Crower.

Does this kit come with spring retainers and if so what kind and is there anything else needed to complete the head besides valve cover and head bolts?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

No these do not come with retainers. Normally you reuse your factory ones, or if you want you can get aftermarket ones from us. The only parts that are not included in regards to a absolute complete rebuild would be retainers, valves, head bolts (or studs) and valve seals.
  • Lindsay

Would a stage three cam (either or) have any interference issues with a 8.5:1 compression ratio? And if so what would you recommend, keep the 8.0:1 ratio or change cams?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

We have never heard of any interference issues any lower compression (8.0:1 up to 9.0:1) pistons with big cams ever. Of course, when you are assembling a motor with big cams its best to check clearance just to be safe.
  • Noe
Do the springs come with retainers
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

When changing your valve springs, you can reuse your stock retainers. Or if you want an upgrade, you can get aftermarket chromoly or titanium retainers. But neither the chromoly or titanium retainers are in this kit as this is a base kit.

I wanna go with stage 2 cams which has more of an aggressive sound Brian crower or crower cam
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Crower cams have a more aggressive cam lope sound if you are comparing same stage cams between Crower and Brian Crower.
  • Kody Stone
Hey guys, I was curious, does this kit come with valve guides? I know it does not include retainers, valves, head bolts, and valve seals but I could not find any mention to the guides.
