Keep your intake piping clean and free of oily residue with the MPx Oil Catch Can. By intercepting the breather hose from the valve cover this unit will accumulate and collect oil that would other wise end up as intake sludge. The lever controlled drain at the bottom makes emptying a snap and you'll know when it's necessary with the sight tube. Installation is easy and fitment is great with our included bracket and hardware specifically for the Cobalt SS Turbo. There's no drilling or modifications necessary, install should take less than 30 minutes! We include silicone hose to replace the steel braided factory piece.

Note the pictured and assembled catch can. This is recommended placement and orientation of the bracket and fittings but it can be varied slightly.

We're not sure. We only designed this for the 08-10 Cobalt SS Turbo, and have not tested this on any supercharged 05-07's.

Is this a hollow can or does it have proper filter media inside?

This catch can is not hollow, it is filled with a stainless steel mesh media to trap oil.

Is this product installed by taking the breather hose off of the air intake pipe? Or are you recommending taking hose off of turbo

Yes, you must remove the breather hose off of the valve cover and intake, and the catch can traps any oil going between the valve cover and intake.
