This MPx hood lift kit uses all stainless steel brackets, and hydraulic struts that quickly open your hood and it slows down near the full open position. It stays open securely in high winds so you never have to worry about wind making the hood come loose and falling on you while your working.
Again, there is no drilling at all, it uses existing holes in your fender, and the hinge hole.
We have two kits - one for use with the heavier OEM steel hood, and another for use with lighter carbon fiber and fiberglass hoods. We offer two different kits, because this is not a one size fits all ordeal. If you use a hood strut designed for the steel hood with a carbon fiber hood it will flex a lot, and make lots of creaking noises as the CF hoods flex more. So, we have a lighter set of struts for the CF and Fiberglass hoods.
NOTE: We are using American made, Stainless steel brackets that wont rust. Our brackets are cut, bent and welded ALL IN THE USA. These brackets have guides to ensure perfect alignment of the brackets and operation of the struts. Other poorly made kits with painted steel brackets will end up rusting and because they use universal brackets, the brackets are likely to move around with the heavy duty struts pushing open the heavy steel hood. Our stainless brackets have welded guides to keep them from moving. If you are looking at a inferior kit with painted metal brackets with no stops or guides, those will twist over time, and then have improper alignment and cause problems with opening/closing of the hood.

WARNING: Not all hood strut kits are the same. We see a lot of kits that require you to drill into your hood and fenders to rivet the kits permanently to your car. What if you ever have a problem with the kit, or want to remove it? Its not going to be easy when the parts are riveted to the car and you have permanently drilled holes into your car! Lastly, a lot of these other kits on the market, are not using proper hood strut pressures and we have seen peoples hoods flex, and even carbon fiber hoods crack due to wrong pressure struts being used. We have two pressures for both steel and carbon fiber that we have tested extensively on our own SRT-4's!
