When upgrading the oiling system on the 2001-2010 2.4L engines, the stock oil filter housing has shown itself to be less than spectacular in stock form. Some stock housings had smaller ports than the oil pan, terribly machined 90 degree ports that slowed down oil flow, and is made from a weak aluminum casting that has cracked and ruined many customers engines from loss of oil pressure.
After listening to many customers woes over the stock housing, we decided to engineer a new high strength, high performance billet aluminum oil filter housing that would also incorporate an oil port to help ease the installation of an oil pressure gauge or temperature sensor location, and allow the use of the larger diameter oil filters.

Thread locker is recommended when installing mounting bolts. Torque bolts to 110 INCH pounds

Please note: If you want to remove the threaded pipe plug to install a oil pressure sensor, please use a torch to heat up the oil filter housing and to loosen the loctite sealant holding the plug in place.
