Want the fastest turbo spool up, and throttle response you can get out of your factory turbo on your 03-05 Dodge SRT-4, or 03-10 Chrysler GT Cruiser ?

Heres what you need. This part, the 3 inch 02 housing from MPx, has been offered since 2004. Its a solid piece, and we have sold thousands of them over the years.

Its made out of T304 stainless steel thats 16 gauge thick, has .50 inch thick flanges, and its FULLY MIG welded for superior strength. It comes with two gaskets, and a 02 boss for your factory oxygen sensor.

Please note- we have a few competitors that make o2 housings like this one without the support boss welded on the side. Without the support boss to be used with the OEM support bracket, the o2 housing will crack and fail. Dont save a few dollars to get a cheaper, sure to fail o2 housing. Do it right and save yourself the time and effort.

This o2 housing will work with the factory turbo, and any 3 inch downpipe.

I currently have a hahn 20g turbo setup (mani, turbo, o2 housing) and think the O2 housing is 2.5 inch. will this fir with my setup bolt on?
    1 Answer
    • Modern Performance

Most definitely not. This is designed to bolt onto the factory turbo. It will not work with any other aftermarket turbo as the outlet size/locations are different.

Just wondering if this 3 inch o2 housing is really worth my 100 dollars or not. i have a needswing 3 inch dp with full 2.5 magnaflow exhaust. wondering will if this will make a difference.

    • Modern Performance

If your goal is to have faster spool up, and to have a full 3 inch exhaust then YES it's worth it.

will this work with the mopar catless downpipe and exhaust

    • Modern Performance

      Definitely.
  • Chris
Will this work with the stock downpipe?

I may have a damaged stock o2 housing and can't afford replacing the entire exhaust yet.

This has a 3 inch outlet, and the factory downpipe has a 2.25 inch inlet, so the exhaust gas will go from 3 inch back down to 2.25 inches which is not good. We would recommend you either, a) get this o2 housing and change your downpipe, or b) get a used stock o2 housing to go with your stock downpipe.

Is this gona fit my 3 inch needswing downpipe ?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Yes, this will work with all 3 inch downpipes perfectly.

So this should just bolt on to factory stock turbo
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Yes, its designed to go between the factory turbo and downpipe. It should also be used with a 3 inch downpipe so that you dont have a 3 inch outlet of o2 housing going to a 2.25 inch inlet downpipe.

Will this work on mopar stage 3 turbo kit? I don't think it will because its not the stock turbo but wanted to double check.
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

No, this definitely wont work with a Mopar stage 3 turbo. We offer a larger, MPx o2 housing for the stage 3 turbo though, please see our other product listings.

Do I need this piece if I'm running a stock turbo and bought your side exit exhaust.
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

It is not necessary to buy this when buying a new exhaust. It is much more difficult to install this piece than an exhaust, so keep that in mind, however, if you want a complete 3 inch exhaust from turbo to rear bumper you'll need this.
  • Zack
Does this have a wideband bung on it
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

There is a bung on the o2 housing for the primary, upstream oxygen sensor. This sensor is critical for the PCM/ECU to know how the car is running. If you want to install a air/fuel mixture ratio gauge, you typically install another oxygen sensor bung on the downpipe close to the o2 housing.

Will this work with the AGP Big Wheel Stock turbo that you sell?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Yes of course. Because the AGP Big Wheel Stocker turbo uses the factory turbo cast exhaust manifold, this o2 housing bolts to the cast exhaust manifold, so it works fine with the stock turbo, or the AGP big wheel stocker turbo cartridge unit.

Does this part and the budget down pipe for PT cruiser come with replacement bolts? Or do you sell a bolt kit for these items?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

O2 housings and Downpipes do not come with bolts. We do have bolts available for downpipes and exhausts (search for MPXBOLTSIDEEXIT in the search bar) but your existing bolts should be reused for the o2 housing installation.

Do i need anything else or will this fit on stock dp? 05 pt gt
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

You could use this with your stock downpipe but it would be pointless. The gases would go from the turbo, to a 3 inch o2 housing and then to a 2.25 inch downpipe. Whats the point? If you are going to go through the trouble installing this you should get a 3 inch downpipe as well.
  • Josh
Does this come w the nuts and bolts needed for install?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Two gaskets are included, but no bolts. You reuse the three studs and bolt that secure the o2 housing to the turbo. We include bolts with our downpipes that will bolt to this. If you are not buying our downpipe, or need new bolts from o2 housing to downpipe we would recommend taking the o2 housing to a local hardware store and purchasing new bolts there.
  • Brad
I read that between the factory manifold - factory O2 housing it does not have a gasket between them. This kit comes with two gaskets, one I assume to place between this new O2 housing and the stock manifold. Is this correct? Should there be a gasket there, have there been instances of gaskets blowing out in that spot? What do you reccomend goes between the exhaust mani and this O2 housing? Thanks.
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Yes, exactly right, there is no gasket between the o2 housing and the turbo. There is only a gasket between the downpipe and o2 housing. We provide two gaskets, one is a spare.
