Are you running less than 20 psi of boost on the factory turbo of your 03-05 Neon SRT-4? If so, this product is not for you!

As of August 2009, Mopar no longer offers the 3 Bar MAP Sensor used with the Neon SRT-4 Stage 2 & Stage 3 kits. To fill this need, we have identified another Mopar 3 Bar MAP Sensor that can be used in its place. In order to accommodate the angle of this new sensor, an aluminum adapter is used to allow the sensor to be mounted to the 03-05 Neon SRT-4 intake manifold. The adapter has a threaded male port with rubber o-ring to seal tightly to the intake manifold, and it's held securely in place with allen head screws.

To the left are photos of the MAP sensor and adapter assembled together. Notice how the plug faces the same direction as the factory sensor. The primary reason this adapter was designed was not only to make it easier to install, but to keep the wiring from having to be cut and extended. If the factory wiring is cut, the voltage output from the sensor will be modified, and could create incorrect readings from the MAP sensor to the PCM.

what does the 3 map bar sensor do?

    • Modern Performance

It's for use with much higher boost levels. Ie, if you've got a big turbo and are going to run 23-30+ psi of boost. If you have a factory turbo this is NOT for you.

Is the TIP sensor required, what does the TiP sensor do? I know I'll need a map sensor but is the tip sensor required with it?

Map sensor= pressure sensor on the intake manifold. Tip sensor= pressure sensor that's mounted under driver side fender, and gets pressure from before the throttle body. If you are doing a custom tune, you definitely need both map and tip sensors.

Just tuned to E85. is this something I should look into buying?

Doesn't matter what kind of fuel you are using for this mod. This is ONLY to be used if you are going above 22-24 psi. If you are going to be at high boost, we recommend you get the map and tip sensor package, and discuss with your tuner on rescaling the pcm for these higher pressure map and tip sensors.
