If you own a 2013-2016 Dodge Dart with a 2.0L or 2.4L engine and want better gas mileage, and more power/torque, this air intake from Mopar will help big time!

Mopar has utilized three methods to increase your Darts performance nicely with this intake

  • Smooth bends, and inner walls provide ultra low restriction for air movement.
  • Plastic construction rejects heat better than all other materials and wont collapse like silicone pieces under vacuum.
  • Utilizes the factory lower duct that goes from the bottom of the airbox to the front bumper. This provides a flow of fresh cool outside air.
These three steps will increase your Darts performance with over 10 hp and lower intake temps compared to other intakes on the market.

This intake uses a high flow dry filter that can be easily cleaned and reused dozens of times with no problems.

Its easily installed with simple hand tools, you do not need to remove your bumper to install this. Installation instructions are provided.

For those of you living in California with the ultra restrictive CARB testing, this intake is approved for use in California by the CARB (California Air Research Board) and has a CARB number of D-265-45.

Please note- This intake replaces the factory airbox, but does not replace the duct between the airbox to the throttle body. The photos we have above show the Mopar air box vs the oem air box to demonstrate the size/smoothness of interior walls, etc.

  • Fits all 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Darts with 2.0/2.4 Liter motors.
  • The Dart front end has a plastic under tray that protects the filter from water, and dirt, so you don't have to worry about water ingestion or dirt exposure.

Mopar Cold Air Intake Radiator Shield, 2014-2016 Dart

Mopar has discontinued this item!!!

For use with the Mopar air intake system for the Dodge Dart with 2.0 and 2.4 engine, we now offer this radiator shield.

Mopar states that when you use the Mopar air intake system on the 2014, 2015, and 2016 models that you must use this shield, or lose some of the efficiency of the air conditioning system. So, if you are buying a Mopar air intake, get one of these at the same time!

Note: Mopar states this is not required for 2013 models.

Tom Gorr wrote in with this info: The reason this shield replacement is not recommended / required for the 2013 model year Dart is because FCA switched to R1234yf refrigerant AFTER the 2013 model year. 2013 Darts still used R134a refrigerant. Design / efficiency of the 2 systems is different.

    What is the torque increase?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Mopar has not posted torque increase dyno numbers, but we would expect to see a 6-7 lb torque increase due to the smoother inside walls of the airbox, and larger diameter, high flow filter.

Will this fit in a 2015 dart gt ?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Yes, definitely, there are no changes from 2013-2015 2.4's.
  • JUSTIN
approximately how much torque and gas millage will this add to a stock 2015 dart
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

We're not sure about gas mileage, as that has more to do with your driving style, but you should see an improvement. We expect a 5-7 ft lb torque increase.

Do they state the efficiency of the filter as for capturing dirt? The stock filter says it traps 99.3%. Thanks!

There is no published information as far as specs go on the filter.
    • Michael

Actually the stock filter traps 99.5%..this is printed on the side of the stock filter.

will this mopar intake provide more performance power compared to the injen intake? if so which would be considered "better"?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Power gains will be similar, but the Injen with its larger bore piping, smoother bends will gain more overall power and torque. The Mopar intake will be quieter though.
  • Dustin
Do you recommend a hydrosheild like the injen one around the filter to keep out water since the air pulls directly from the inner fender, and doesn't have the resonator air pick up tube anymore? If so which one would you recommend and, if not, why?
    1 Answer

This intake uses the oem lower snorkel duct. No pre filter is needed as the filter is in a sealed box.
  • Jeremy
Does this work with a 2016 Dart GT 2.4L with the sport appearance hood?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Yes, this will work fine with that combination.
  • Brian Godlewski
Mopar states on their website that this does not work with the PZEV engines. Is that just due to emissions legality, or physical differences?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Hardware wise there is no difference, like we mentioned in the Q&A section before, this will work perfectly fine with ALL 2.0/2.4 engines. The disclaimer Mopar has is due to costs involved with testing, certifying, etc an aftermarket air intake they make for PZEV use, and they are not going through the process and costs involved for that.

Will i still be able to have the engine cover on with this air intake?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Yes, you can keep your factory 2.0 / 2.4 engine cover on with this intake. Our photos of the intake installed are without engine cover because the owner of that vehicle decided to remove his engine cover.
  • Nic F
Will this work in a 2.4L PZEV engine?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Yes, there is no difference intake wise between 2013/2014/2015/2016 Dart 2.0/2.4 engines, and this is compatible with no issues for all years.
  • Jose lugo pacheco
Does this air box fit only under the GT hood
Or I can use the sxt hood
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This intake will work with the factory hood, Sport hood, and any aftermarket hood. If you want it to work with the Mopar Performance ram air duct, then you'd need the Mopar sport hood.
  • Joey
Does this product come with a physical CARB plaque?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This intake comes with a silver CARB sticker with the CARB number on it. To stress again, CARB only applies to cars in California and should not be a concern for anyone except California residents.
  • Joe
Will this fit a 2016 dart se 2.0. If so would it void any warranties
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Yes, it says in the description of the product, 2013-2016 2.0 / 2.4. That means it fits all 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 Darts with 2.0 and 2.4 engines. Intakes and simple bolt on parts will not affect warranties.
  • Aidan Calia
I have a question about the Mopar Cold Air Intake, 2013-16 Dart 2.0L & 2.4L, does it require me to have a ram air intake for it to work or does it just take in air from the wheel well like the factory air intake?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This intake will work the way it is, out of the box. You can use the Mopar sport intake ram kit with it, if you want colder air from outside the car to go to the intake, thats an accessory however its not required. If you get the intake ram kit, then you cut a hole on the top of the intake box (there is a molded line that shows you where to cut) and the ram air intake duct will feed air directly into the airbox.
  • Juan
Hi I see this for the box, what kit is required to make it work like in the picture? The part from the carb to the box? Thank You
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This intake uses the OEM tubing between the throttle body and the air box. This kit replaces the factory airbox with a higher flowing, smoother airbox with high flow air filter. It also has the notch that can be cut out for use with the Mopar ram air hood duct kit (which was discontinued in late 2020).
