We now carry a Lug Bolt to Wheel Stud Conversion Kit for the 2013-16 Dodge Dart 2015+Renegade/2014+Cherokee/2014+ 500L/2015-2016 Chrysler 200

You may be asking yourself, why would I need a wheel stud conversion kit?

This kit serves three purposes:

For those of you that want more options as far as colors and brands of lug nuts.

For those of you that are not fans of lug bolts, this allows you to get rid of the lug bolts

This kit allows you to more easily get different width wheel spacers, and run wheel spacers. When you have the factory lug bolts, for each different spacer you try out, you have to get different length lug bolts. Whereas with this kit, you can run up to 20mm thick spacers and use the same lug bolts.

Features of these bolts:

These bolts have a allen key head to allow you to quickly thread them into the hub, and a large barb to stop the stud from being tightened in too far.

These bolts are made with a cold forged tehnology for highest strength.

These bolts are made in Europe, and are a Class 10.9 bolt which is a very high strength. These are not studs made in a slave labor factory in China. This is a critical part of your car, and you dont want these breaking off in a corner, dont be cheap to save $30 and have your wheel break off.

These bolts are made in a factory that is ISO 9000 certified, which is a quality management standard.

These bolts are put through a 6 stage quality test, including 1) Hardness test, 2) Dimensional check, 3) Salt Spray test, 4) Tensile strength test, 5) Metallographic Analysis and 6) Torque and Tension test.

Keep in mind, in order to use this kit, you will need open ended lug nuts. You could use closed ended lug nuts if you were to cut down the stud excess length, but as they are now, they are too long and a closed ended lug nut would bottom out on the stud and not make contact with the wheel, thereby not securing the wheel. We offer open ended lug nuts that will work perfectly with this kit, sold seperately.

What thread is the nut side of the stud?

  This stud uses a 12x1.25 thread pitch. You can source your own open ended 12x1.25 thread pitch nuts to use with these, or use the lug nuts that we offer with these.

What is the recommended torque whe installing these?

  The wheel stud conversion kit manufacturer states you should follow the OEM wheel lug torque specs. Chrysler says the Aluminum wheels should be torqued to 92 ft lbs, the steel wheels should be torqued to 89 ft lbs. So follow those specs.

  Yes, this kit fits all 2013-2016 Darts, like shown in the title of this kit. Doesn't matter what engine, transmission you have, this fits all Darts. Its a kit of 20 studs, as shown in the photos.

  Yes, like we explained on the product page, these serve three purposes, and you dont have to need all three, you can just want one of these options.
  
  1) gives you more options for colors and brands of lug nuts
  2) allows you to get rid of the stock lug bolts and instead use a more standard lug nut system.
  3) allows you to use wheel spacers more easily.
  
  Yes, these work with any, and all types of wheels, whatever you have, if they fit on your Dart, these fit.

Can i run an adapter on top of these lugs that is 1inch thickness in order to change the bolt pattern?

  Yes you could use the adapter, however you may have to cut down the studs as they may protrude past your adapter, and that would prevent you from bolting your wheel down.

I wanna get these and Red Spiked Lug Nuts but the lugs are only 50 MM long without the spikes... would they be able to go on or would it not work?

  You can use whatever 12x1.25 thread pitch lug nuts. The worst case scenario, is if you use a longer lug nut like the spiked ones out there, then they could stick out further than you may expect. But that has nothing to do with the wheel stud conversion kit, that has to do with the length of your lug nuts of choice.

  Yes, the lug nuts need to be open, due to the studs being longer, and therefore closed lug nuts will not work as they will bottom out. Closed lug nuts just wont work, because they would have to be super long, and would look odd sticking out of the wheel so far.

Would these fit with running 2" spacers? And if so, with the extra 2" width of the spacers, would it still require open end lugs?

  We have not tested spacers with these, so we cannot say for sure, but we are fairly confident that these will not work with 2 inch spacers. Thats way too much. 1/2 an inch, maybe. 3/4 of an inch, possibly, but you need to test fit to be sure.

  You could use thread lock if you wanted, but its not required.

Does this part work for the 2017-2021 Jeep Compass as I do not see it on the compatibility list even though its very similar to the Jeep Renegade?

  These studs work on many 2013- current Chrysler vehicles with m12-1.25 thread pitch. The only difference is that some of the vehicles have wheels with a larger bolt seat. So for bigger vehicles like the Cherokee/Compass you may try to find larger wheel nuts to use with these studs than the ones we carry.
