The second gen Neon, SRT-4 and PT Cruiser have a issue where high currents are passed through the headlight/turn signal switch. The more often you run your headlights, the more likely you will have a melted multi-function switch connector. When the connector is melted, you will have flickering fog lights/headlights. This is the kit to repair that issue.

This kit works on the following vehicles:

  • 00-05 Neon
  • 03-05 Neon SRT-4
  • 01-10 PT Cruiser
  • 03-07 PT Cruiser GT

Unlike the Mopar Wiring Repair Kit, which sells for nearly twice as much and includes a pile of orange and purple wires, the Kinnettic Kreations Kit includes a complete wiring diagram and factory colored & sized wiring for all 17 connections.

A small instruction diagram is included that shows each color wiring position for the connector.

So this kit provides wires that are the exact same gage as the stock wires? Or does the "factory colored & sized wiring" refer to the length?

Yes, the wires included in this kit are the same size gauge, and color. You just need to cut the wiring from your old melted connector, strip the wires, twist each wire together, solder, hopefully use heat shrink on each connection (or electrical tape), insert the new soldered wires into the connector after matching up each color location, and you are done.

For the multi-function light/fog switch and multi-function wiring repair (on pt cruiser), how do I find out which wire goes where?

    • Customer Service Rep

Like we mention on the product page, this kit is unique in that it has the exact same colors as the factory wiring for the multi function switch. So, all you have to do is match up the colors. There is also a diagram included with this kit that mentions the colors. Or, if you want to be safe, all you have to do is put the new connector above the old one, and cut one wire and solder into the new wiring at a time.
  • Chaz
What if both sides of the connector are melted?

Easy fix. Just replace the Multi Function Switch with a new one, and then replace the connector and wiring. You should be able to do both in less than 1-1.5 hours, and then you wont have to worry about melting connectors, headlights that wont work, fires, etc any longer.
