King AM-Series Rod Bearings, 03-05 Neon SRT-4 / 01-10 PT Cruiser

Model Number: 220266

King Engine Bearing was founded in 1960 to supply the highest quality engine bearings for engine builders. King manufactures all of their bearings in house, with rigorous quality checks and procedures so you get a consistent, high performance bearing.

Kings Rod Bearings for the Chrysler 2.4 use a triple layer material mix. They use a steel backing, aluminum bonding layer, and the friction surface is a aluminum bearing alloy.

These bearings utilize Bull's Eye Tolerance technology developed by King. It combines highly accurate machining, overplating, and computerized wall thickness monitoring that adjusts the process on-the-spot. This state of the art production technology sets new standards in our aftermarket bearing thickness consistency. Bull's Eye Tolerance's outperforms the industry's wall thickness tolerance, ensuring the least thickness variation shell-to-shell. The outcome: A new standard in bearing thickness consistency.

Yes, the product listing states 1995-2010, and since the Neon SRT4 was built between 2003-2005 and it falls in the 95-2010 timeframe, we're good!

Will these work with a 2008 Caliber SRT??
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

No, these will only work in the NON world motor 2.4's. This means 03-05 SRT-4, Stratus/Breeze/Caravan/PT Cruiser/GT Cruiser with 2.4 engines. The Caliber is a world series engine and not compatible with these bearings.

How much hp will the king rod bearing handle?

      • Customer Service Rep

We have never heard of a horsepower rating for these, but we know these will work all the way up to 600 horsepower. If you are really making good power and are going to abuse the car, you should consider the Clevite H race bearings. If you don't want to consider the Clevite H bearings, you should consider some coatings on the bearings to reduce friction and improve oiling.
