The Injen Pressure Piping set for the 2008-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt SS replaces your factory plastic piping which is known to look ugly, and frequently cracks at the mounting location on the engine. Because of the removal of a lot of sharp bends, and shortening of pressure piping, you'll immediately notice improved throttle response and even 7-8 HP over the stock piping!

The Injen Pressure Piping is fabricated out of mandrel bent out of aluminum for maximum weight savings over heavy steel piping, and uses special MR technology to maximize flow into the motor, while not affecting the sensitive mass air flow sensor. This two piece kit replaces the OEM piping from the turbocharger outlet to the throttle body.

    • Installation instructions are included, and installation typically takes about 1.5 hours with basic hand tools into the Cobalt SS Turbo.

    Please note- Injen made a wonderful kit with this piping set, however, they use silicone couplers that are too short, and easily pop off with the engine movement. We solved this problem by making a upgraded coupler kit that has T bolt clamps and longer silicone couplers. In testing on our 2009 Cobalt SS, we never had a pipe or coupler blow off again with our upgrade kit! So dont risk losing power and engine damage with a pipe that is leaking or blown off! Add the MPx coupler upgrade kit from the above option and you'll receive two 3" long couplers and six T-Bolt clamps for your install!

        Its fine, we have never heard of anyone having any issue with rubbing on the factory hood.

      do these come flanged for a bov?

        No, definitely not. You could always cut and weld a blow off valve flange onto the piping if that's what you want. However, because the Cobalt uses a mass air flow sensor, if you have a blow off valve, the car will run very rich after each gear change, and performance will suffer. You'd need to have a custom tune to accommodate for the valve, and that's a lot of work and expense for a blow off valve.

      Just wondering if this charge pipe can be ran with stock charge piping couplers?

        This kit does not replace the cold side short rubber couplers that go between the intercooler and throttle body. All of the hot side piping and couplers are replaced though.

        No, a tune is not needed after installing this. Tunes are primarily needed after changing boost levels with a boost controller, or adding an air intake.

      Does this include both the upper and lower (hot/cold) charge pipes?

        This replaces the hot side piping from the turbo to the intercooler. The short cold side pipe that the throttle body attaches onto is not made by Injen because in testing they found little to no improvement from replacing the short cold side. The hot side made a nice improvement in throttle response and power.

      Will this pipe work with aftermarket intercoolers?

        This piping connects to the factory intercooler, and will work with any aftermarket intercooler that can work with the factory piping. This will work great with the MPx intercooler and other intercoolers that are Cobalt specific.

        Yes, you can use the factory air box with the Injen pressure piping.
