Model Number: 226903

Injen has stepped up and produced a T304 stainless steel 3 inch single exit catback exhaust for the 2013-16 Dodge Dart with the 1.4 Turbo engine. We do not recommend using this exhaust on 2.0's or 2.4's as it will be very loud and obnoxious as its designed for use with the turbo motor.

This exhaust has a great sporty tone, and it will make your Dart produce a LOT more power. How much you ask? We're talking about 13 hp and 18 lbs of torque at 4000 rpms, which is right in the middle of your power band. This is power that you'll feel, and that you'll be able to take advantage of in every gear!

Now onto the specifics of this exhaust!
  • Full three inch diameter
  • American made
  • Bolt on, no welding needed.
  • You keep your factory bumper exhaust outlets

For those of you wondering why this isn't a dual exit exhaust, there are several reasons. First, dont worry, no one will ever know unless they are under your car. This is because you cant see the piping behind the bumper, and as far as anyone else knows, it looks like you still have a dual exit exhaust in the bumper!

Furthermore, when you go to a single exit, you lose a LOT of weight by getting rid of the massive, nearly 5 foot length suitcase muffler on the factory exhaust. Then, you improve exhaust flow by reducing the number of bends, and angles that restrict exhaust flow!

So, if you want an awesome exhaust that produces a lot of power, and a great exhaust tone, you've found the right one!

Will this exhaust fit the sxt model or is it ony for the rallye model?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

This will fit all Darts with the dual chrome tips built into the rear bumper.

how much hp/tq will this exhaust make? also was concerned that the 2.25" inlet where it connects to the downpipe would be a problem once an aftermarket downpipe was developed, because even if you increase the size of the downpipe you will still have this 2.25 restriction at the flange. how soon will an aftermarket downpipe from modern performance be available?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

This exhaust showed gains of 13 hp and 18 lbs of torque at 4000 rpms in testing done by Injen. Thats solid power! Dont worry about a restriction at the flange, if thats a big issue you can easily cut off the flange and replace it later. It wont be an issue until your over 220 hp though, probably even more!

How easy is this to install? I have already installed the injen CAI and hot/cold pressure piping. Do I need to put the car on a lift?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

It is a direct replacement to the oem exhaust. Having a lift would definitely give you more room and comfort.
  • Erik
Will this pass an emissions test?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Yes, this will not affect emissions output at all.

How come they only give a 1 year warranty, when Magnaflow & Flowmaster have lifetime. Kinda sketchy how they don't back up this product but they do on their intakes.
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

The length of warranty doesnt imply the quality of the product. Dont be misled.

We have dealt with Magnaflow with some of their warranty's and have not been impressed with their warranty procedures.

I know that in the post for the exhaust is for the 2.0 and 1.4L, I have the 2.0L i was just wondering if the exhaust would actually be a single not dual pipe jist because I couldn't tell from the pictures and just to double check before purchase.
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Yes, this exhaust is a single pipe exhaust, just like shown in the photos. Please look at the photo of the underside of the car and you'll see its a single pipe to the passenger side of the car.
  • Ryan
Will this fit my SE that doesnt have duel exhaust tips or cut outs? Does it come with a tip?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Yes, if your Dart has no tips, and it has no cutouts, this exhaust is made exactly for your car. This version of Flowmaster exhaust has two tips and templates to cut your bumper for the tips. Its exactly what you need.

Can this exhaust be ordered with a 2.5 inch flange on the b-pipe to mate with the optional 2.5 inch catless down pipe that you offer? I've done several mods on this car already. And I would like to upgrade my exhaust next and purchase both items at the same time. I would prefer not to have to take it to a muffler shop and have them cut and splice a brand new (and very good looking if I may add) performance piece.
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

No, not possible. It's best to have your local muffler shop cut and weld a new flange on. It's very easy to do, don't worry.

I have a stock 2013 dodge dart with the 1.4 turbo. Will this set up be completly bolt on?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Yes, it will work fine with stock downpipes and aftermarket downpipes. Completely bolt on, no cutting, or welding needed.

Will this still pass smog in california?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

This exhaust is not CARB (California Air Research Board) approved. Its perfectly legal to use in every other 49 states of the USA though.
  • Thomas Hoffman
The stock exhaust on the dart is loud enough in this guy's opinion, how much louder would this exhaust be over the stock?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

This would be about 40% louder than stock. It's very reasonable to us. If you installed this and wanted it quieter it's very easy to add an inline muffler for more noise suppression, so don't worry!
  • Cody Miller
    Is this from downpipe back?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

On the 1.4 turbo, here is the breakdown from turbo to the rear of the car. 1) Turbo, 2) Downpipe, 3) B pipe, 4) exhaust. This replaces from the B pipe on back.
  • Shane Durbin
With the 1.4 turbo the rear bumper is not cut out so how does it work with no cut out
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

You'd either need to cut a slot in your non fog valance, or replace your oem valance with the oem dual tip valance. Then you could run this with or without the OEM built in tips.
  • Bryce Lane
My 2013 aero has no cutouts, single exit. How can I install this on my Dart?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

In order to install this, you will need to get the OEM rear valance and tips. You can get the valance from us and get tips used off Ebay. Otherwise, you'd have to cut your no tip valance where the passenger tip exits.
  • Bryce Lane
Does adding this exhaust require a tune?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

No, the Dart uses map sensors for the PCM to determine the volume, and pressure of the air. The PCM automatically adjusts to different modifications, and there are no tunes needed for any air intake, exhaust, or other bolt on parts. You'll only need a tune if injectors are changed, or if turbo is added to a 2.0/2.4 or if you install a new turbo on the 1.4. Otherwise, no tune is needed for all other parts.
  • Justin
Would you recommend this over the Flowmaster?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Both are good exhausts. This exhaust is 3 inch, versus the Flowmaster 2.25 and Injen says they gained more power with this exhaust than what Flowmaster claims on the 1.4 turbo engine. Also, another benefit for the Injen exhaust is its lighter than the factory and Flowmaster. The only downside is its a single exit and if you have dual outlets, some people may be bothered by exhaust coming out of one outlet and not the other.

Will this product work with the MPx 3.0 to 2.5 downpipe that is sold here? Also will I need a b pipe to go with the 2 or will this and the downpipe work in tandem?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This exhaust will work with the MPx downpipe, or factory downpipe, or any other downpipe made for the Dart. You do not have to buy the B pipe, but its an upgrade option if you'd like.
  • Michael Richardson
I have an Aero single exhaust with no cut outs. Other than buying a rear valance with the two cut outs, is there anything else I need?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

In order to use this exhaust, you'll either need the tip cut out bumper, or you'll need to cut exhaust holes for your no tip bumper, or lastly, you can install the tip valance from Mopar. Thats it.
  • Joe
Does this exhaust include the B-Pipe as well? In other words, I already upgraded the downpipe and need the rest of the exhaust done too. Just need to know if I need to make an extra purchase on top of this. The previous answers here seem to indicate yes, but just wanted to be sure!
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This exhaust does not include the short piece of pipe that attaches to the header on the 2.0/2.4 or the 90 degree angled piece of piping that bolts to the turbo 1.4 downpipe.
  • Logan
I recently got the MPX headers for my 2.0 dart, I was wondering if this exhaust will work with that exhaust manifold?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

If you read the description of the title of this exhaust, you'll notice it only lists the turbo 1.4L motor Dart. This is because this exhaust will be way too loud for use with the 2.0 and 2.4 motors. It will be insanely loud for use with the 2.0/2.4 engines with MPx headers. Thats why we do not even list this exhaust in the 2.0/2.4 Dart sections. You could use this exhaust with a 2.0 or 2.4 if you wish, it would fit, and use the same factory hangers, however it would be too loud.
  • mike
Does this replace the midpipe on the 13 1.4Lturbo. I know it says catback but the cat is in the downpipe which connects to the midpipe then there rest of the exhaust. If this is 3" from the "downpipe" cat back I'm sold
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

You are correct, the 1.4 has a downpipe with cat just after the turbo, then a B pipe with flex directly under the motor. This exhaust connects to the B pipe with flex.
