This works with both the stock air box, and aftermarket air intakes!

If you have a 2012+ Fiat 500 Turbo/Abarth, 2013-2016 Dart 1.4L, or a 2015+ Renegade 1.4L and want a blow off valve noise instead of a whisper quiet engine, this is for you!

We've worked with Forge to test and bring to market a diverter plate that goes in between the factory diverter and the turbo. With this piece, when you shift, or release the gas you'll hear a audible whish noise!

In most cases, whenever you wanted to install a blow off valve you'd need to buy a $250 blow off valve and then buy a mounting kit for a total of $350-$450. With this simple bolt on piece, you can keep your stock diverter, and have just as much fun for a lot less!

Features:

  • Easy installation, takes about 5-10 minutes with a single allen key.
  • All aluminum construction with hard coat, made in Great Britain!
  • Great blow off valve sound in minutes without spending a lot of money!

Below is a video of the Forge plate installed on our Dart 1.4L Turbo.

Note: The OEM intake system does not provide enough clearance for both the Go Fast Bits Diverter Valve AND the Forge or MPx Blow Off Plate to be stacked together. If you intend to use both of these products, you must first purchase an aftermarket intake to create enough space to do so.

Does the plate actually release pressure to the atmosphere or is all just for the sound of it?

This plate releases pressure to atmosphere for sound purposes.

I want to know what the dealer can say about this mod ... for warranty purpose ...

    Thank you

Its a simple spacer, it does not affect the way the car runs, nor does it change the boost level. The dealership should not care about it, and if you are concerned, you could always remove it in about 5-10 minutes as it is held in place with 3 bolts.

Does this help the turbo spool faster or help it hold a more consistent boost pressure between shifts?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

This only makes the oem diverter valve sound more like a aftermarket HKS/Greddy style blow off valve. It does nothing for boost pressure, spool up, etc.

How do these sound on the auto trans darts? Do they hardly ever purge?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

The OEM diverter works on both automatics and manual transmission cars. The automatics will still be very noticeable sound wise and you'll still enjoy the new sound!

So I installed this plate on my Dart but for some reason it under certain pressures when i shift makes a strange brief horn honk type of noise along with the wish sound. Is this normal or did I install this incorrectly. I did install a k&N cold air intake at the same time but don't think it is a result from that. Doesn't do it all the time. I say maybe when I shift around 3500rpm.

The more boost your Dart makes, the more the OEM diverter will open, and make noise. If your Dart is making low boost (Say for example, your driving leisurely with part throttle) then you'll have less of a noise, and even an echoing type noise. Dont worry, as long as you have not lost power, and it still makes a solid whoosh noise at full throttle you're good!

What is the biggest difference between this Forged plate and MPX plate?
Does any sound louder than the other?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

The only difference design wise is the MPx has vents on all three sides, whereas the Forge has vents on two sides. There is no difference in sound or loudness.

i wanna know how does this forge diverter work..will it get dust in the holes cuz i live in the desert and will it loose boost cuz of the new multiair turbo set up because its a recicular boost so it needs to circulate that boost so by having this holes will it loose that boost
    1 Answer

There are three holes in the Forge diverter spacer, and because only pressure, no vacuum goes through the holes, no sand or debris will enter the motor or turbocharger.

When the blow off valve opens its a quick release of boost pressure and the amount of air that is released will not cause lag or delay.

Would this work on my 2016 Dodge Dart 1.4?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Yes it will, and every product on our website will work with your Dart 1.4 unless otherwise noted on the product page.

Would this work for the 2.4?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

Absolutely not. This is for the 1.4 Turbo engine. It will not fit the 2.0 or 2.4 engines as they are not turbo engines.

Will this product put any sort of stress on the turbo or engine?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

No, it just releases air to atmosphere. Its a incredibly simple piece with no moving parts. Mopar released a part like this back in 2003 for the Neon SRT-4 and millions of miles were racked up by SRT-4 drivers with it with zero problems.

I don't understand how adding a spacer can make the sound with the stock diverter. I don't understand how it works.
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

The factory diverter is basically a valve. When the pcm sends a signal for it to open, it opens, releases pressure back into the inlet of the turbo. When you install the Forge plate, instead of the air being rerouted into the turbo, its released into the atmosphere. You then hear the sound release, like a blow off valve. Because its such a small amount of air, no loss of power, or other issues is seen.

Will this work with the gfb dv+?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Yes of course this will work with the Go Fast Bits Diverter. We have a package with this exact same plate, and the GFB plus our longer bolt kit in the exact same category as this item.

Hello, just wanted to clarify that this will also fit my Fiat Abarth 500 right? Also, will this install affect anything or is it just for that wooosh sound? Thank you again!
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

As of 3/8/18, this fits ALL FIAT/Dodge/Jeep vehicles with the 1.4 Turbo engine. Dart, 500 Abarth, 500 Turbo, 500X, Jeep Renegade, Fiat 124 Spider, etc. No, this will not affect anything performance wise, and there are no check engine lights, etc. It just makes noise like a blow off valve! =)

Will this work if i have the k&n cold air intake system in my 2013 dodge dart
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

As of 7/18/2018, this fits with all air intakes made by every manufacturer. If there is ever an intake or car, etc it doesn't work with, we will post that on this product page.

I have a stock 2013 dart and want the "whishing" noise when I let off the throttle. Do I need to get a whole new valve or will the blow off plate do the job?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

The very first paragraph of this product description says:

If you have a 2012+ Fiat 500 Turbo/Abarth, 2013-2016 Dart 1.4L, or a 2015+ Renegade 1.4L and want a blow off valve noise instead of a whisper quiet engine, this is for you!

So, this is what you need, and you just need this piece, it bolts in between the turbo and the diverter valve.
