      Dose this void my warranty?

A exhaust is a very simple mod, and you should have no problems from your dealership due to an exhaust. Most dealerships dont care if you have an intake, and exhaust installed.

What are the horsepower/torque gains for this product?
      1 Answer
      • Modern Performance

We noticed about a 6-8 hp gain at redline over the stock exhaust.

Is it the same size pipe as stock or bigger diameter?
      1 Answer
      • Modern Performance

The Flowmaster uses 2.25 inch piping, the same as stock, however, it still makes power by deleting the huge suitcase muffler at the back of the car and having smoother, straighter piping than stock. It has a great tone, all while not being obnoxious on the freeway!
    • CJ
Being all the piping is the same will they eventually just release the muffler?

The stock piping/muffler and the Flowmaster are not interchangeable.

Will this fit the Limited model? I can only get it to show up for the Rallye on the flowmaster website.

Take a look at your rear bumper. If you have dual chrome tips built into the bumper, you can use this exhaust.
    • robert
Do the tips need to be welded on or do the pipes slip right threw them?
      1 Answer
      • customer service rep

The factory tips are built into the rear bumper and the Flowmaster exhaust piping sits inside the factory tips. There is no cutting, no welding, etc needed.

Reading your answer about the Limited bet its the same as my Aero. Has only a single tip at the end of a huge muffler. So is there anything I can do with that?

This Flowmaster exhaust is designed to work with the Darts that have dual outlets built into the bumper. If you have a no tip bumper, or a single tip bumper, your options are A) Get the Mopar rear diffuser and built in tips, and then get this exhaust. Or, B) get the Flowmaster exhaust with tips designed to use with no tip or single tip bumpers.
      • Brian

I also own an Aero. This should easily fit any Dart with the dual exhaust outlet rear fascia, but for single exhaust models like ours, you would have to either cut a half circle where the exhausts exit or go to your dealer and buy the other rear fasica. I plan to cut mine, I'm just on the fence about this exhaust, the 3 inch Injen, or a custom setup.

Is this the dbx muffler that give the 4cyl a deep throaty sound?

        Yes it is.

Is there room underneath for the muffler, I see that it mounts up towards the front instead of where the stock one is.

Yes, this exhaust does not affect ground clearance.

Does the cat back exhaust system come with a muffler? Will it pass a smog test?
      1 Answer
      • customer service rep

The Flowmaster exhaust has a single round canister muffler in the middle of the exhaust. This will not affect emissions testing in 49 of the US states excluding California.

If you are talking about CARB testing for Dart owners in CALIFORNIA, this is not Carb approved. If you live in California you'll need to either live in a particular area without CARB testing if you want to keep this exhaust on, or swap it once every year or two for your stock exhaust, and then do CARB testing, and put the Flowmaster back on.

I do not have the bumper that has the cut outs can I get the rear diffuser to use with this exhaust and do you carry the OEM tips
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

We sell the OEM valance, you'd have to source your own oem tips to use with the valance. You could find some at a junkyard, or maybe find some used from someone. We heard the oem tips are very expensive from the dealer (ie, $200 each as of 2017)
    • David
Does this exhaust come with tips?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

Yeah, so we have gone over this a few times already, lets give it another shot.

This exhaust does not come with tips. Its made for Darts that have the built in tips in the bumper.

If have a single tip or NO tips built into your bumper, you can do two things. 1) You can get the other Flowmaster with tips and cut the lower part of your bumper. 2) you can get the lower OEM valance, and then the OEM tips and convert your bumper to the bumper with built in tips.

Buying this, can I add the Flowmaster HP-2 Inlet 2.5" mufler? and do I also have to buy the exhaust tips if I get this item?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

This exhaust comes from Flowmaster exactly as shown. There are no customizations available. If you want a different muffler, you will need to have a muffler shop do that once you install the exhaust. This particular exhaust is designed for Darts that have the built in tips. If you do not have the built in tips you should consider the Flowmaster exhaust with tips and then trim your bumper for it to be installed.
    • Carder Stakem
Once this is installed could I possibly exchange the muffler on this system to one with a louder/more aggressive sound?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

Flowmaster has spent lots of time perfecting the sound of this exhaust, and making sure there is no drone. We do not recommend taking this fine tuned exhaust and modifying it, but you are welcome to do whatever you want. You'd just want to find a muffler from Flowmaster to replace it with, perhaps contact Flowmaster directly to discuss with them other muffler options.

Am I able to install aftermarket tips to the piping if I can remove my stock tips? Say that with burnt tips or carbon fiber tips.
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

Sure you can do whatever customization you want. You'd want to work with your choice of local muffler shop for the work.
