This Clutch Masters FX Series Performance Clutch Kit for the 2013-16 Dodge Dart 1.4L Turbo feature a High Leverage pressure plate, performance disc and alignment tool. This is a clutch kit (minus the flywheel) that can handle more abuse and power than your OEM clutch!

High Leverage Pressure Plate
This pressure plate provides an increase in clamping force while still maintaining a soft pedal feel. The High Leverage design reduces the amount of load against the crankshaft, minimizing thrust bearing wear, and crank walk. Clutch Masters High-Leverage technology in order to achieve maximum clamping force without having to compromise pedal feel.

Performance Disc
The Clutch Masters performance disc utilizes a 6 spring carrier to reduce the amount of shock and impact during engagement. A variety of materials are available to ensure you have the best setup for your application and best suit your needs. Cushion is also incorporated on the Clutch disc to reduce chatter and offer a smother engagement. Clutch Masters clutch is also SFI certified meeting performance standards for the automotive and motor-sports industry.

Clutch Kit Options

  • FX 100 250 ft/lbs Tq (Organic)
  • FX 250 310 ft/lbs Tq (Organic-Fiber)
  • FX 350 385 ft/lbs Tq (Tough-Fiber)
  • FX 400 425 ft/lbs Tq (6-Puck)

Note: The Dart uses a hydraulic clutch system and is designed from the factory to have a long engagement. This is intended to make the car smooth between shifts, however, this delayed clutch engagement means you will suffer from much faster clutch wear, as well as spongy, non-linear clutch action. We've heard from many Dart owners that are burning out their clutches with only 30,000-60,000 miles. We firmly believe this is due to the factory designed terrible clutch delay valve, causing excessive wear on the clutch disc.

So if you are looking at replacing your Dodge Dart clutch, we highly recommend you get one of the Deyeme Clutch Delay Delete Valve kits from us at the same time. After you install this, you'll enjoy a normal clutch feel without the delayed, spongy feeling you had before, AND your clutch will last longer! Please note: this is a clutch kit without flywheel. Its designed to either work with your OEM flywheel, or the Clutchmasters aluminum flywheel. When ordering you can select the clutch disc you want, and then select whether you have a OEM flywheel or Clutchmasters aluminum flywheel. This does not include a flywheel.

Ive got a mopar 13 dart and want to replace my clutch, which option would be best for me?

When choosing a clutch, you always go by the torque ratings to decide on what clutch to get. Based upon the mods you have, and power levels, you choose your clutch. Always get the one that can handle your power now, and a little bit more down the road. Try to have at least a 15% reserve if not more but do not get one much more than that, or else it wont be a good fit for your power levels. Call us to discuss more.

Will this be a direct fit just as it would be if I were to buy an OEM clutch?

    • Customer Service Rep

This clutch can be bought in different stages, but also it is made in two different styles. 1) To work with the OEM flywheel 2) To work with the Clutchmasters aluminum flywheel. So select the clutch level first, and then select if you are using the OEM flywheel or Clutchmasters in the pull down menu.

I have an exhaust diverter valve cdv delete and an intake are there any cons to just getting the fx400 to support later mods

Yes, there is a huge risk in buying a stronger clutch. We frequently hear from customers that want to buy a stronger clutch because they think it will last longer, or because they might have more mods down the road. Clutches with higher holding capacity are much more difficult to drive. They grab faster, and cannot be slipped into gear. They can also wear faster due to more aggressive materials and design. So we recommend to keep the clutch choice within a 20% holding capacity range for what you have unless you know that you ABSOLUTELY are doing more power mods. So for you and most others with bolt on parts, we recommend doing the FX100 as that can handle the stock turbo with all bolt on parts plus more boost.
