Will this intake work with the BorgWarner s251?

This intake will work with any turbo that has a 3 inch inlet. If you are not sure what size your turbo inlet is, please measure it and if you have a 3 inch inlet, this is perfect. If you have a 4 inch inlet you should get our 4 inch inlet intake.

Will I have to go back to the stock intake to do a smog or will it be ok with the agp intake? I live in California.

This statement only applies to Californians, EVERYONE else on the planet is fine with this intake. The restrictive CARB (California Air Research Board) emissions testing procedures state that you must only have CARB approved parts on your car, and the only parts that have ever been CARB tested and approved are the AEM air intakes and some K&N air intakes. So if you had this, you would have to put the stock airbox back on to do the CARB testing.

Does this intake come with the forked brackets that are usually welded to the upper and lower pipes to attach it to the chassis? I didn't notice any in the pictures. Just wanted to make sure since you don't want something that rattling around in your engine bay.

There is no mounting bracket on this intake. It only has a vacuum nipple. The silicone hose helps to support the intake, the vacuum hose on the bottom holds it, and there are water lines on the passenger side of the intake that all help to keep it in place. We've used this intake since 2005-2006 or so with good success and no rattling noises or issues.

What's the strut shown in the picture? I like the compactness of it...
