Have a check engine light in your vehicle for cat efficiency codes due to not having a catalytic convertor on your race/offroad car, or from a sensitive pcm?

If you answered yes, then you need this piece. Its a easy to install, thread in oxygen sensor extender that requires NO tools, and threads into your existing oxygen sensor bung within seconds.

  • - A very effective tool for avoiding Check Engine Lights. Pulls the Oxygen Sensor further away from the exhaust gas stream.
  • - the "J" shape allows the O2 sensor to be installed parallel to the exhaust pipe for better clearance.
  • - M18 x 1.5 Thread. The sensor to be used with this unit should measure 18mm from thread tip to thread tip. Accepts all standard O2 sensors.

Do I need to mount it in the upstream, downstrem or in both O2 sensor holes?

      • Modern Performance

Downstream, the downstream sensor is the one that monitors the catalytic convertors efficiency.

would a defouler be necessary for a downpipe with an angled bung? i really don't want to set of a cel (which im hoping an angled bung may be enough) but with the J shape i think it would go on kind of funny.

With there being thousands of vehicles produced, and with each one having its own sensitivity variance for issuing a CEL based on the cat we have no way of knowing if you'll have a problem. We can tell you though, that most cars PRE 2005 were not very sensitive, and that most cars now after 2010 are getting more and more sensitive to not having a cat now.

Would an 04 SRT-4 with the Diablo Sport Intune 93 Octane tune remove the cel for a catless system or would the defouler still be needed?

The Diablosport tuner will make it so you dont need a defouler.

can i use this on my 06 cobalt ss in the upstream location?

This is a universal part, as long as you have a threaded oxygen sensor bung like the one pictured on our site, this should work.

Also, there is no reason you should ever use this on an upstream sensor, this should only be used on the downstream sensor. The downstream is the one that monitors the cat, the upstream monitors the way the engine runs and you shouldnt be fooling with the upstream sensor as it will cause problems with the way the car runs.

So will this keep the CEL off on a 2013 Dodge Dart with your catless downpipe?

For most cars, this will work fantastic to remove a check engine light from having no catalytic convertor. For the Dodge Dart, so far we have found that any check engine light that comes on will need to be removed through the pcm, with a performance flash of some sort. This defouler and other similar styles doesn't seem to prevent the check engine light.

      Will this fit 03-05 srt4?

Any oxygen sensor that screws in, should work with this. The only ones we have seen that wont work with this are the bolt on style older Toyota oxygen sensors.

Do I need to install it on both o2 sensors or just in 1 ? Of in 1 o2 sensor only but in which one exactly?

The defouler is used in the downstream oxygen sensor. Do not touch the upstream.
