For first gen Neons that are seeing real track duty, the TTi solid engine mount is the way to go. This unit is solid metal with no rubber or urethane. Not recommended for street use.

This mount is made in the USA, and fits all 95-99 Neons, with sohc/dohc engines and automatic or manual transmissions.

Why is this mount not recommended for street use? Is it due to the vibrations?

  Yes, with it being a solid steel motor mount you could have a lot more vibration.

  Yes, there is no difference in the front engine mount between the automatic and manual transmissions. You can use this in an automatic if you are using your Neon for race use. We do not recommend using this on a street driven car due to the huge increase in vibration going from a rubber filled mount to a solid steel mount.
