Christopher Hale: Didn't really want to spend the money on iridium plugs but took a chance and was totally surprised. Noticed significant difference and great response. Will buy again when the time is needed.

Vincent: Installed on my mother's 2016 Fiat 500X AWD @ 42,000 miles. Old plugs were fouled and these new NGK plugs increase throttle response and revving. A must have for every 2.4 Tigershark engine. I gapped mine at the lower range listed here.

NGK Iridium plugs are designed specifically for the performance enthusiast and they offer extreme ignitability, improved throttle response and superior anti-fouling. The Iridium tip ensures high durability and a consistently stable spark. Iridium alloy has an extremely high melting point, and its trivalent metal plating provides superior anti-corrosion/anti seizing properties.

The recommended gap from NGK is 0.047", and these do not come pre-gapped so the gap on these plugs must be checked and adjusted. We recommend running a lower gap of .041-.042.

The recommended replacement interval for these plugs is 100,000 miles from Chrysler. However, we pulled out our factory spark plugs on our 2014 Dodge Dart GT with 2.4 engine at a little over 15,000 miles and were suprised to see how much carbon buildup they had. We replaced the plugs with these new NGK Iridium plugs and we noticed an immediate improvement in throttle response. Our Dart felt much more responsive and fun to drive with new spark plugs!

So these are better than the higher priced Mopars?

The OEM plugs appear to be made by Champion and are Iridium tipped. The NGK plugs are made by NGK (obviously) and are Iridium tipped. Both are fantastic companies with proven quality, and the NGK are cheaper. Furthermore we have tested a set in our Dart GT 2.4 and we noticed an immediate difference in throttle response. They are working great for us!
