This listing is for the 2003-2005 Neon SRT-4 and 2001-2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser belt tensioner for the power steering/ac serpentine belt.

Over time, your factory belt tensioner will not keep the belt tensioned properly and your belts will begin to squeal when cold. Or, a worn tensioner could cause your belts to walk off and not stay in place on the ps/ac.

So, if you are doing maintenance to your vehicle such as timing belt work, we recommend replacing this at the same time.

  This is the tensioner that applies tension to the power steering and AC compressor. Once your tensioner goes bad, the belts will have a tendency to get loose, and cause slippage/noise, and your power steering and AC may not work well.
