Introducing the Energy Suspension Shifter Base Bushings for the 00-05 Neon 03-05 Neon SRT4. These bushings replace the soft rubber bushings on the base of the shifter for a more solid feel when shifting through the gears. It's time to refresh your shifter feel by replacing your old OEM soft rubber bushings! These also fit manual transmission PT/GT Cruisers.

This kit comes as a package of four bushings, and after you've removed your factory shifter (held in place by four bolts) you can easily replace the bushings with simple hand tools.

    Are these the same as the booger shift linkage bushings ? Not product wise but specifically what they are for . So are they the same category?

      Booger shift linkage bushings attach onto the ends of the cables that go between the shifter and the transmission. The Energy Suspension base bushings go on the bottom of the shifter assembly, and replace the soft squishy rubber bushings with a more solid bushing. The Energy Suspension Base bushings give the shifter a more solid feel.

    Are the steel insert available? My shifter was missing one from the factory.

      The OEM metal mounting bushing inserts that go inside the rubber floor mount bushings were never offered separately. You would have had to buy a new shifter, to get new inserts, however the shifter is discontinued now. Its best to go to a junkyard and find a manual Neon to pull one off of. The PT Cruiser manual may have the same insert but we cannot say for certain. We recommend bringing one of your inserts with you into the junkyard to compare sizings to any Neon or PT you find.
