MPx Cold Side Charge Pipe w/ HKS Blow Off Valve Flange, 03-10 PT Cruiser Turbo
Model Number: 331237-HKS-KIT
While designing our upgraded intercooler for the PT Cruiser Turbo, we were looking at the factory piping that went from the intercooler to the throttle body, and thought to ourselves, "we can do better than this"! The factory piping is made from rubber hosing which can expand under high boost levels, and it has a plastic restriction where the temp sensor and tip lines connect.

Benefits
1) We created from scratch a one piece aluminum piping kit with couplers that eliminates all the factory piping on the cold side between the intercooler and throttle body(driver side). We have a welded on an HKS BOV flange that allows you to install the HKS blow off valve, which we consider to be the one of the best blow off valves on the market. It sounds great, and can withstand high boost pressures with no problems. The piping is powdercoated with a sleek wrinkle black finish that is durable and great looking!
2) We were also able to reduce the overall length of the piping by making smoother angles, and shortening the piping compared to the factory pipe. Shortening the piping and reducing sharp angles allows for the turbocharger to spool up faster with less restriction.
3)Lastly, we have welded on a threaded bung, and have included a threaded air intake temp sensor instead of the OEM plug in type temp sensor. This threaded temp sensor prevents the sensor from blowing out at high boost and or causing leaks!
Some of you have asked if we will make a MPx Cold Side Charge Piping kit without the HKS blow off valve flange. We might, but it all depends on the sales of this item. If we see little to no demand for this item, then we cannot justify making another style of piping for the PT Cruiser Turbo.
You can buy a brand new, made in Japan HKS blow off valve from us, or you can even buy a used HKS blow off valve off Ebay for $80-100. We have also seen knock off HKS blow off valves on Ebay from $15-$50.
Please note: if you install this, you need to block off the three bolt flange for the OEM diverter. The OEM diverter is on the turbo manifold near the firewall and angles downwards and towards the front of the car. It is right next to the turbo air intake inlet. Be sure to buy one when you buy this kit.
