Years ago, Quaife made a limited slip that was $1100, then a knockoff company called OBX made one for $450. The OBX one had issues with its design, and we had to have a retired Chrysler engineer friend of ours named Ed Peters fix a lot of the shortcomings. Ed had to replace the bellville washers inside the LSD, and correct the axle inputs where the axles would lock in and not be able to be released. It was a great price, but needed quite a bit of work to make it perfect. Ed Peters has inspected one of our first LSD's and was very impressed, saying it needed no work to be installed unlike the OBX copy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFast forward to 2017 and OBX discontinued their Neon differential. This left a lot of Neon racers with no options with a Limited Slip differential. So Modern Performance stepped up, making a production run of all new design LSD. This is not a copy of a copy LSD. With a open differential, if you turn left, most of the power will go to the left wheel. If you turn right, most of the power will go to the right inside wheel. This does not help in cornering and lessens traction.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you install a limited slip differential like this one, when you turn left, the right wheel gets more power, helping push you through the turn. If you turn right, the left wheel will help push you through the turn.
