We opened up the inner bore nicely and improved air flow into the intake manifold quite a bit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eBy doing this, we were able to gain a solid 6 hp at the wheels, and make our Dart 1.4L Turbo even more fun to drive as the throttle was more responsive!\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePorting out a throttle body like the Dart's is not an easy task! The Fiat\/Dart 1.4L uses a drive by wire throttle body which means that the throttle body is driven by a motor. So, in order to bore out the throttle body we need to disassemble the drive by wire throttle body, remove the motor and gearing, remove the throttle plate and screws, bore it out, install a new throttle plate, and reassemble.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNow, we begin with BRAND new MOPAR tb's that we port, that you buy outright. This means you get a brand new drive by wire throttle body with motor.
