This listing is for the Walbro High Flow Fuel Pump & Installation Kit, not the pump only kit offered by other companies for $10.00-$15.00 cheaper. Don't confuse the two kits, as you will want the complete package with installation kit!

This fuel pump is designed to work with all 95-05 Neons (including SRT-4 models), and works well with bone-stock vehicles, all the way up to extreme high horsepower applications.

This Walbro High Flow Fuel Pump is rated at 255 liters per hour, and is an in-tank style module. It is designed to work with OEM components, and may not work with aftermarket components.

In addition to the fuel pump, this kit includes:

  • Fuel Pump to Tank Seal
  • Fuel Pick Up Filter
  • Fuel Pump Dissasembly Tool
  • Photo Installation Instructions

Note: Walbro offers a 1 year limited warranty. However, all warranty claims are subject to a manufacturer's inspection. You will be charged an inspection fee, and the process may take up to 90 days. If it is determined the fuel pump is faulty, the inspection fee will be refunded, and a replacement pump will be issued. Walbro states the typical failure rate is 0.5%, as they are an OEM supplier and are required to maintain extremely high quality standards.

Does this Fuel Pump include the sending unit, or will i have to get one seperately? If it does, is it a complete install kit?
    1 Answer
    • Modern Performance

Does not include the sending unit as that is built into the stock canister assembly.

Does this pump mount directly to the stock and stage 3 housing? What parts from the stock pump do you still need for this to work?
    2 Answers
    • Modern Performance

Yes. Works perfectly in the stock and stage 3 fuel pump canister. You'll need the entire housing and this will replace the pump and some gaskets.
    • Modern Performance

Yes, will work fine in all OEM and stage 3 fuel canisters. It basically replaces the pump, gaskets on your canister.

What kid of psi will this put out?
    1 Answer
    • Modern Performance

The pump is not rated in psi, it's rated in LPH or liters per hour. Typically the psi rating is set by your factory fuel pressure regulator, or if you ave an after market fuel system, your fuel regulator. This pum wont ave a problem going up to 100 psi though.

How much power can you make with this kit on a big turbo kit, with stage 2 injectors and stock frp, should i also get the return line and frp or can i make about 380 the way i am?
    1 Answer
    • Modern Performance

This pump can easily support big power. The problem with this is that its not a fuel tuning device. You'd need either a return line, or a Diablosport/SCT tune to control the fuel needs of your car as you cant just use injectors and a pump with a big turbo.

Can you put this on a stock srt?
    1 Answer
    • Modern Performance

Yes, you can use this fuel pump with no problem. But you might want to have a fuel pressure regualtor to monitor the fuel since this is a high flow fuel pump.

Normally people will use a return line after they have gone above 400 wheel hp, or just want better control of their fueling needs.
    • customer service rep

Most people that want more fine control over their fuel needs will use a return line

Do you need a rewire kit to install this? I bought this kit and was told i need to do reqire but dont see that you sell it.
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

This is a direct replacement for the factory pump. Nothing else is needed. If you want to do a rewire at time of installation you can do that, but its not required.

There will be no difference in power if thats what you are asking, but it wouldnt hurt to replace your old fuel pump with a new one while you are doing other fuel work.

I have a Stage 3. How can I determine if the stock fuel pump is failing? Is this a direct replacement for the stage 3 fuel pump? Do I need anything else?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Most people find out their fuel pump is dying when the under boost performance is suffering, or they are not making as much power as they used to make. The proper way to test and see if a fuel pump is going bad, is to hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail and monitor the pressure. For 95-01 the stock fuel pressure is 48 psi, and the 02-05 Neon and SRT-4 is 58 psi. If your fuel pump is failing you might see the pressure drop at mid to high rpms.
  • David
While replacing the oem fuel pump with this one, is it compatible with oem injectors and rail? Or will I need to upgrade those to handle the high flow?
