Heavy-duty materials are used to construct headers for the ultimate in durability and longevity.

Systems are mandrel bent on sophisticated computer controlled bending machines for precise fit and uninterrupted exhaust flow. The mandrel bending process maintains a constant inside diameter of the tube for a smoother finish with no restriction of flow and no crimping of the tubes

  • 1-5/8" O.D. tubes with 2-1/2" 3-bolt collectors.
  • Collectors have built-in O2 sensor bungs, ready to accept sensing equipment
  • One piece header tubes, no slip tubes
  • Constructed of 16 gauge mild steel tubing
  • 3/8" thick laser-cut header & collector flanges, contoured for a leak free fit

Header set includes (1) header gasket and a 2.5" ball & socket style exhaust system adapter w/ hardware.

Header Coating Options There are two finishes available:

Nickel Chrome Plated "outside only" - A bright and shiny decorative chrome finish. On our test car this has coating has held up well.

Ceramic Coated with Thermal Barrier - A silver matte finish applied to the steel surface to protect against rust and corrosion, extending part life. Withstands temperatures up to 1200deg F, reduces underhood temperatures and will not discolor or blue under normal conditions.

Note:This sleeved pipe meant to work with stock exhaust piping but will weld up to any other aftermarket piping if needed. This unit is also meant to eliminate the stock catalytic converter.

      No because the bolt pattern on the head is different than a neon.

    The header will increase the horsepower and torque but is it possible to get a range on how much those two will increase. I would just like to know what I would be getting if I bought it.

      You'll see a gain of 7-8 hp, and with very modified Neons you could see a difference of nearly 20+ hp at high rpms. The factory header is optimized for low end power, and power really falls off at the upper rpms. This header changes that and shifts power up high.

    will this fit a 2004 2.4 DOHC swap in a 1st gen neon? Would a mid length header be a better choice for a road racing enduro car given the lower reving, high torque 2.4.

      Yes, this header works great on 2.4 swaps into 95-99 Neons. A mid length header is better for street driven cars for more of a mid range powerband. Long tube race headers are best for high rpm power.

    Will this work on a N/A stratus 2.4 DOHC 2001?

      This header will work on all 1995-2001 2.0 Chrysler four cylinder engines, and it will also work on the 1995-2001 2.4 Chrysler four cylinder engine. When used with a 2.4 swap in a first gen Dodge Neon, this header works fantastic. We are not sure of this headers fitment in the Stratus/Caravan/Breeze/etc but assume it might only need minor modification to fit in those other vehicles.
