(DISCONTINUED) Mopar Performance Ram Air Duct (for use with Mopar Performance Cold Air Intake)

Mopar has discontinued this item on June 2020, no more are left.

Mopar Performance Ram Air Duct system for all Dodge Darts equipped with the following options / modifications:

  • Mopar Sport Appearance Hood
  • Mopar Performance Cold Air Intake

This is a two piece kit that replaces the vent on the hood with a functioning, open vent as well as a plastic duct that goes under the hood to funnel air from the open vent on the hood to the air box. The duct under the hood seals perfectly with the Mopar air intake system.

  • Have a Dart without a sport hood? You can get one from your dealership and have it painted, or try searching on car-part.com to find a junkyard that may have one.
  • Have a Dart with a sport hood and want more horsepower and a ram air system? Get the Mopar air intake system for your particular engine, and then buy this two piece ram air duct kit.
  • This part will only work correctly with the Mopar Sport Appearance hood and Mopar cold air intake. You could use this hood scoop with the Mopar sport hood and another air intake to funnel more air to the air filter, but it will not be a sealed, forced air intake like with the Mopar air intake, Mopar air duct and Mopar Sport hood.

I know this will work with the sport hood on my 2016 Dart GT, but if I went with a different cold air intake instead of the recommended mopar one, will this air duct work with any other cold air intake that is open and not enclosed in a box? K&N, Injen etc.?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

Sure, this will work with any intake of your choosing. It will funnel air from outside of the hood to the airbox area. But, the best intake for this piece is the Mopar air intake, as it will allow air from the duct to go right into the sealed airbox, providing the most direct access.

If you put this on the car with either the recommended Mopar intake or any other one, how does water NOT get in through the hood if you are driving in the rain?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

The ram air duct has channels that stop water from pouring in. The air intake also has channels that allow water to collect, and drain out, so even if you took a hose and shot water into the air duct, such a small amount of water would get to the filter, that it wont make a difference.

I need a replacement ram air scoop and not the under hood snorkel. Can I buy the air scoop separately?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

This is only made, and sold as a kit, and the pieces are not available separately.

How does this work with the mopar intake you sale how does it force air to rhe air box?
      1 Answer
      • Customer Service Rep

Ok, first off you have to have the Mopar sport appearance hood, and lastly the Mopar air intake to use this piece. Then if you have both pieces, this duct attaches onto the hood, funnels air from the opening in the hood and after you cut a small hole on the top of the air intake box, the duct will transfer air into the airbox for a nice fresh, cold air feed.

Will this work with the 2.0?

      • Customer Service Rep

What engine you have does not matter. 1.4/2.0/2.4 it does not matter, as long as you have the Mopar air intake for your engine, and the Mopar OEM sport hood with vents built into it, this will work with your car.
