AEM's Short Ram Intake produces about 8 HP more than the factory airbox, and adds some color to your engine bay. You may also notice a more pronounced turbo whistle as air rushes through the intake to the turbo!

The intake puts the filter in front of the battery in the engine bay. In this location, it still produces power, but is positioned so you don't have to worry about your engine ingesting water.

This complete intake system includes 3 inch tubing (available in red, blue, and polished), air filter, hardware, and a splash shield to protect the filter from water, dirt, and debris.

Installation is straightforward, and takes about one hour with basic hand tools. Installation instructions are included.

Note: The AEM Short Ram Intake is NOT compatible with the AGP upper hard pipe kit. This is because the AEM short ram intake places the filter right where the blow off valve would sit if the car has the AGP upper hard pipe kit installed on it. If you want to install the AGP uppipe, please select another intake, as this is the only intake that has clearance issues.

  Yes, this intake is carb approved for those of you living in California that have to deal with CARB testing. (This does NOT apply to anyone outside of CA)

  The only way to have a black AEM short ram, is to have the intake tube stripped and then powdercoated. Any good local powdercoating place can do that for you.
  
  Yes, this intake is designed exclusively for the 03-05 Dodge SRT4.

  This intake was originally designed for use with the stock turbo. So, yes, definitely. It can also be used with larger turbos if you change the silicone hose that connects the turbo to the intake.

How much hp should you expect to gain from this compared to the stock intake?

  We dyno tested this intake and gained about 7 wheel horsepower and torque. Plus you have the great whistle noise from the turbo afterwards!

Why does this not work with apg harp pipe? Is it a clearance issue?

  This is the only intake ever made for the Neon SRT-4 that will not work with the AGP uppipe with blow off valve. This is because the air filter placement is exactly where the blow off valve sits on the pipe on the AGP uppipe. If you want to install a blow off valve on your SRT-4, we recommend any other intake of your choice, and not the AEM short ram intake.

  We are not sure of which brand of upper hard pipe you are referring to. If you are referring to the AGP uppipe kit, we mention multiple times on this product page that this is the ONLY intake that the AGP uppipe does not work with. If you have the AGP uppipe, then get another air intake.
