This is a package of three quarts, or three bottles of MOPAR ATF fluid.
We get a lot of calls from customers asking what type of fluid they should be using in their transmission. So to make things easier, we have stocked up on plenty of Mopar transmission fluid, and can ship it right to your doorstep. When you have a good amount of mileage on your car, or are doing a clutch job and want to refresh the manual trans fluid, you can now purchase the fluid Mopar specifies from Modern Performance!
We list this fluid as manual transmission fluid, however it is labeled as ATF+4, so you might be a little puzzled. Mopar used ATF+4 in the Neon SRT-4 and Caliber SRT-4, so as strange as it might seem, this is the correct stuff!
08-09 Caliber SRT-4 Fill Capacity: ~3 Quarts
Note: This is the transmission fluid recommended by Mopar. However, if you drive your car hard, a Chrysler Engineer that we work with has recommended the use of Mobil 1 High Mileage Full Synthetic 5W-30 or 10W-30. This is because the High Mileage Synthetic contains higher levels of Zinc Dialkyldithiophosphate (Zinc DDP) which helps protect the gear surfaces better under high heat conditions.
"Wait, did Modern Performance suggest using engine oil in my transmission?" Yes, we did.
"But ENGINE OIL won't work in a transmission, the transmission will explode"! Nope, we've been using Mobil 1 High Mileage Full Synthetic in our transmissions since around 2010, and wouldn't use anything else.
"May I use other weights and brands of engine oil in my transmission"? Maybe, but we can't advise you on that. We were told by our Chrysler Engineer friend to use Mobil 1 High Mileage Full Synthetic 5W-30 or 10W-30 specific oil, and that's what we have done. We have no reason to be trying other brands, weights, etc.
