Are you running less than 22-23 psi of boost on the factory turbo of your 03-05 Neon SRT-4 or PT Turbo? If so, this product is NOT for you!

If you're interested in getting a plug-n-play 3 Bar or 4 Bar MAP & TIP Sensor conversion kit for your high boost Neon SRT4 or PT Cruiser Turbo, or you're using a DSP or SCT to tune your car, this package is for you!

    Kit Attributes;

  • 3 bar or 4 Bar TIP Sensor
  • MAP Adapter
  • TIP Adapter
  • TIP Mounting Bracket (Stock TIP Location)
  • Tip Mounting Pushpins
  • Rubber Isolators
  • 6 Machine Screws
  • Barbed Fitting

Each of the sensors we use are individually tested for voltage output accuracy before the kits are assembled by hand in our office. These sensors are critical for your engine to run correctly and we strongly advise you to not fool around with no name sensors that have spotty quality. We have first hand seen no name sensors that have incorrectly molded plugs, we have seen no name sensors blow apart under boost as well. We guarantee the quality and accuracy of these sensors and kits.

Note: The 3 Bar sensor kit is only plug-n-play for Neon SRT-4s equipped with a Mopar Stage 2/3 PCM. For all other Neon SRT-4s, you must have a 3 bar sensor rescale done by a custom tuner. This is because the factory PCM expects input from a factory 2 bar pressure sensor, not a 3 Bar or 4 Bar sensor. If you install a 3 or 4 Bar Sensor on your NSRT-4 without a rescaled PCM, it will not run correctly.

As of August 2009, Mopar no longer offers the 3 Bar MAP Sensor used with the Neon SRT-4 Stage 2 & Stage 3 kits. To fill this need, we have identified another 3 Bar or 4 Bar MAP Sensor that can be used in its place. In order to accommodate the angle of this new sensor, an aluminum adapter is used to allow the sensor to be mounted to the 03-05 Neon SRT-4 intake manifold. The adapter has a threaded male port with rubber o-ring to seal tightly to the intake manifold, and it's held securely in place with allen head screws.

The primary reason this adapter was designed was not only to make it easier to install, but to keep the wiring from having to be cut and extended. If the factory wiring is cut, the resistance from the sensor could be off, and would create incorrect readings from the MAP sensor to the PCM.

Choose below if you need a 3 Bar(~29psi) or 4 Bar(~43.5psi) conversion kit.

Im running a 60 trim and the previous owner removed the tip sensor and im peaking around 15psi of boost. If I get a tuner and trying to aim for 20psi or more do I need to get the 3bar tip?

If you want to tune your car with a Diablosport/SCT, etc tuner, you absolutely need the map and tip sensors installed. If you run less than 20-22 psi, you can use the stock sensors. If you are running over 20-22 psi, then you will need these 3 bar sensors in this kit.

How do you modify tge sensor for it to work as a 3 bar tip?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

You would use these in conjunction with either a Diablosport tuner, or a SCT tuner to flash your pcm. You would need to consult with a Diablosport custom tuner that would write a custom program for you to use the 3 bar map sensors.

This does not answer my question...... you guys state that the map sensor will be used as a 3 bar tip with minor modifications. ... what "minor modifications" will I need to do?

We drill, thread the map sensor, and screw in a threaded reducer fitting so that you can attach your TIP sensor line to the TIP sensor. This must be done as the tip line and the tip we use have different size inlet/outlets.

Will these work with the staged ecm's? I have a mopar stage 2 ecm.

    • customer service rep

Yes, will work perfectly as the stage 2/3 pcms are calibrated for 3 bar map/tip sensors.

I'm current stock turbo with full bolt ons and a diablosport tuner running 22psi. Will this be at all beneficial to me?
    1 Answer
    • customer service rep

We do not recommend anyone with a stock turbo to change their map/tip sensors unless you are doing a custom Diablosport tune, and your tuner requires you to change the map/tip sensors.

Should I use 3 bar map and tip sensors if I'm running a 50 trim
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

If you are under 20 psi, no. If you are over 20 psi or planning on it, then yes. You'll need a Diablosport, and a Diablosport rescale tune for the map/tip sensors. Any good Diablosport custom tuner can easily do the rescale tune for you.

Are you supposed to install the rubber hose into the vac line?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

Yes, in order to install the tip sensor on your car, you would remove the rubber elbow off of your factory white vacuum line, then plug the hard plastic white line into the silicone line of the TIP sensor.

Does the modded tip mount on the stock bracket under the driver fender?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

This TIP sensor will not clip on the TIP bracket like oem. You'll need to find a way to secure it to the bracket. Zip ties most likely.

If I have a bad Mopar 3 bar map and replace it with this one, will I still have to get a rescaled tune?
    1 Answer
    • Customer Service Rep

If you already have a 3 bar map or tip sensor, and you replace it with another 3 bar map or tip then you are good to go.
